2019 Goals & Reading Challenges

Happy New Year everyone!  It’s hard to believe it’s 2019 and time to set our goals. For 2019 I’m going to keep my goals (life and reading) simple:

  • Exercise regularly and eat healthier
  • Read from my TBR list and books I own.

Here are the reading challenges I will be participating in:

Goodreads Reading Challenge

My goal is 30 books.  I’ve been lowering this goal every year because life is busy, so I think 30 is a good number to reduce the pressure of reaching a goal.

The 2019 Audiobook Challenge is hosted by Hot Listens and Caffeinated Reviewer. This is a year-long challenge to listen to audiobooks.  You can find all the details here.

My goal is “Binge Listener” (Why read when someone can do it for you) – 20 to 30 audiobooks

The 2019 New Release Challenge is hosted by Lexie at Unconventional Book Views and Stormi at Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My! . This is a year-long challenge to read books released in 2017.  You can find all the details here.

My goal is “New Release Newbie” (1 to 30 books) but I am aiming for 10 books. I plan to focus on my TBR this year, but there are a couple of 2019 releases I can’t wait to read.

The COYER (Clean Out Your E-Reader) challenge is broken up during the year, by seasons.  The COYER Winter challenge runs December 1st to March 1st, and my goal is to read 15 books. You can find all the details here.

I will be tracking my progress on my 2019 Reading Challenges page and with the UBB Reading Challenge Plugin. I love this plugin by Ashley at Nose Graze. Since I have no coding knowledge, this plugin does everything I need to track my challenges. This year I will be using it to track the number of books I read from my TBR list, number of new to me authors I read from, and the genres I read.

What are your 2019 goals or  reading challenges?

I suck at those goals too. Maybe making it public will help to motive me lol. Thanks Sam!
