His strength, his masculinity brought out something primal within her. In his arms, she felt like the Amazon warrior she'd once pretended to be as a little girl.

Anson is a fierce Dragon King, a dragon shapeshifter born and bred to protect his own. But when a rogue tech company hacks into their world, he must join forces with the unlikeliest of allies: a human female. Her name is Devon Abrams. A rising star at the firm, she has no idea that her boss is in league with the sinister Fae and their secret war against humanity. If Anson gains her trust, he can defeat the enemy from within. But first he must fight his own attraction--to this exquisitely beautiful mortal...

Devon loves her job at the firm. But sometimes she wishes she could find a man--a real man--who isn't threatened by her success. When she first meets Anson, she's overwhelmed by his powerful masculine presence and disarmingly gorgeous smile. But when he reveals his true mission--and his ability to transform into a dragon--she's irresistibly drawn into an epic battle between humans and immortals, magic and technology, danger and desire. Anson vows to protect her from the Fae. But can he control the flames of passion that blaze within his heart, in Blaze, the next sexy Dragon romance in the Dark Kings series from New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant.

5 Stars for Blaze!

Blaze is the eleventh book in the Dark Kings series and the romance and action is hotter than ever. Blaze can be read as a standalone, but I suggest you start with the first book. The author does a great job of including bits of information from the previous books, but I think readers would want to experience this exciting series from the beginning. In Blaze we meet dragon king Anson. Just like most of the dragons he has kept his distance from humans. He is on a mission to uncover information on a tech company who knows the secrets of the dragon kings. While on the mission he must team up with a human to get inside the company. Devon Abrams is on the rise in her tech company but all that changes the moment she meets Anson.  She can’t help but be drawn to the mysterious stranger and is thrust into the paranormal war of the dragon kings and fae.  All the Dark Kings book follow the same formula – a dragon king finds his mate and the female is at first reluctant to believe his world ever existed. Since each book follows this formula it can be a bit dull, but I loved that Blaze had more action and surprising twists.  We are getting closer to the dragon kings discovering the identity of their enemy, and it has been a long time coming. In Blaze characters from Ms. Grant’s other series Dark Sword and Dark Warriors make an appearance and are sure to be the dragon kings allies in the final battle. I haven’t read all the books in the other series, but after meeting some of the characters I need to catch up on their books.

Antony Ferguson returns as narrator for this series. I thought his performance was good and I melted with the Scottish accent he uses for the kings. I wish they used a female narrator for the female characters. His voices for the male characters were great but the female characters weren’t believable.

I am a huge fan of author Donna Grant.  I love her writing style and creativity. The Dark Kings series is filled with passion, romance and action. This is one of my favorite series and I highly recommend this to all paranormal romance fans.
