Each week a new Top Ten list will be featured. Everyone is welcome to join! A list of 10 is just a suggestion, but you can do a list of 3 or 5 or 20. Your post, your choice! This week’s topic is a Love Freebie (bloggers choice). I love ALL romance! I read Young Adult, New Adult and Adult books. I’ll read contemporary, historical, fantasy and science fiction. If the story is “romance”, I’ll read it! Today I’m sharing some of my favorite romance authors.
Kresley Cole writes paranormal romance (adult/YA) and adult contemporary erotica. Not many people know that she had also written an adult historical romance (I mentioned this series when I met her at a book signing and she was surprised I had read it). I love her books because of the passion, excitement of the story and the humor (I love Nix!). Kresley Cole is an automatic buy for me.
My list of favorite paranormal authors includes Karen Marie Moning, Donna Grant, Elisabeth Naughton and Darynda Jones.
Tessa Dare is one of my favorite historical romance authors. I love the romance but also how she develops strong female characters, despite the male dominated era. She is the first name that comes to mind for historical romances.
My list of favorite historical romance authors includes Julia Quinn and Eloisa James.
Susan Mallery is one of my favorite adult contemporary romance authors. I love that her books are set in a small-town so the focus is on characters who are everyday people that we can relate to. I make a stronger connection with the characters and the romance is the right mix of sexy and sweet.
My list of favorite small-town adult contemporary romance authors includes Marie Force, Katy Regnery, Sherryl Woods and Lauren Dane.
