This week’s topic is Books I really liked but can’t remember anything/much about

This week’s topic came at a great time since I’ve been thinking about series I started to read and need to finish (or get caught up on).  Here is my list of series I really liked the first books of, but can’t remember much about so I’ll be re-reading them:

The following is a list of books that are part of a series that I need to read soon (before I forget what happened in the previous books):

  • Siege and Storm (Grisha Verse #2) by Leigh Bardugo
  • Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows #2) by Leigh Bardugo
  • Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2) by Sarah J. Maas
  • Silver Borne (Mercy Thompson #5) by Patricia Briggs

What books did you really like but can’t remember anything/much about?

I hope so lol. I’ve seen good reviews of the series so I’m curious as to what happens. Thank you for stopping by!

A buddy read would be fun! I have the audiobook just waiting for me to download it lol. Thanks Jo and let me know when you plan to read it.

  1. I absolutely loved three of those: Legend, Talon, and Bourbon Kings. I have sort of been saying this all day, but I will say, details are not there for me, but I remember things I loved. I am trying to forget Red Queen, because I thought that book was fantastic, and Glass Sword was a total chore, that made me abandon the series. I love all the ToG books and did think Crooked Kingdom was a great sequel.

It’s been so long since I read those books that I don’t remember the details lol. I hate it when the sequels are disappointing. Thanks Sam!

I get discouraged too if a series is too long. The Bourbon Kings was good and I think I remember most of the details. But I loved the narrator so I’ll re-listen to it before moving on in the series lol. Thanks Katherine for stopping by!

  2. Talon has been sitting on my shelves for a while and I really want to read it this year! I have to agree with you on Legend. I did read it a while back and I remember immensely enjoying it but, I can’t really recall details and what actually happened. Another perfect example is The Darkest Minds, which I actually want to re-read in hopes of finishing the trilogy this year! Thank you for sharing!

I heard about the final Talon book coming out this year so I need to get caught up on the series. I think I remember most of the first book but I better re-read it just in case lol. The Darkest Minds has been on my tbr forever so I need to read that too. Thanks Elena for stopping by!
