My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.

It’s been a while since my last Weekly Wrap-Up. Life got busy so I’m trying now to catch up on reading and blogging.  Here is what I’ve been up to during the last 2 weeks:

  • I received $24 from Barnes & Noble for the ebook settlement!  I’m not sure what this was about but I’ll take the credit.  Now I’m waiting for ebooks to go on sale lol.
  • I was out of town for 3 days for a business trip. I’m not used to sleeping without my husband (the feeling of security), so of course I didn’t sleep good in the hotel. It also didn’t help that the bed was hard, the AC was loud, and I can hear a train close to the hotel. I was excited to be home and finally got a good night’s rest.
  • We went on our annual family trip to Apple Hill. Apple Hill is in El Dorado County, which is about an hour from us. This is a group of ranchers that range from apple growers, Christmas tree growers, wineries and spas.  We go ever year to welcome the Fall season by getting some apple treats and pumpkins and fun activities. This year we went to my husband’s favorite brewery and I was surprised to find their tasting cave for hard apple cider.  The cave was part of their building and I loved the relaxing atmosphere. They had a variety of tasty ciders.

  • My niece was born on 11/1!  This is the firstborn for my brother-in-law and his wife and we are so excited for them. I’m going to have fun spoiling this little girl lol.
  • Friday night we are going to see Bruno Mars in concert.  This is my second time seeing him live and he puts on a great show. I’m writing this post before I go to the concert, but I’m sure we had a great time lol.

Reviews coming soon:

  • Wicked Abyss by Kresley Cole (audiobook)

Currently watching:

  • Outlander has been really good and I loved the reunion.  I can’t wait to see this Sunday’s episode since Claire will find out some heartbreaking news.  I know she’ll overcome this but this is one of the parts of this series I hated.
  • Stranger Things season 2 is on Netflix but I have only watched up to episode 3. This is good so far and I love the 80’s setting.

What are you watching?

I hope you have a great week!

The concert was a lot of fun and I want to see him again lol. I just haven’t had any time to watch tv but I need to watch Stranger Things 2 soon. My daughters have already watched it and are about to burst with spoilers if I don’t watch it soon lol. Thanks Grace and I hope you have a great week!

  1. Congratulations on the birth of you niece! It’s always special to have a new addition to the family. Enjoy every moment. OMG, Outlander! The reunion episode made me cry tears of joy! Jamie’s wary behavior made me nervous at first, but then they were back to be Claire&Jamie. So happy!

Thanks Sam! OMG, Outlander! I don’t think I can wait until tonight so I might watch the episode online lol.

  2. That settlement was nice, wasn’t it? I spent mine right away…I have compulsive book buying! LOL

I remember visits to Apple Hill when I lived in Sacramento. I miss it there!

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

I’m trying to make the settlement last long, but I’m getting one-click happy. It’s good to get free things once in a while. Apple Hill is always fun but it gets crowded. But we’ve got a strategy of getting there early and being done by lunch lol. Thanks Laurel-Rain and I hope you have a great week!

  3. Hotels can be tough definitely, even nice ones. I used to go o n trips fairly often and as I got older I enjoyed it less and less! Apple Hill sounds amazing, and so does some apple cider. Now I want some!!

Hope the concert is great! I’ve watched the first episode of Stranger Things 2 and loved it!

I’ll be traveling more for work, so I’ll have to figure out how to get some sleep while I’m away. I love Stranger Things 2 so far but I need to finish it soon. Thanks Greg and I hope you have a great week!

  4. Congratulations on your niece! What fun! I’ve gotten used to sleeping without my husband because he used to travel all the time and now I’m traveling a lot due to family health issues but sleeping in familiar places is WAY different than sleeping in a hotel on my own. I have a feeling I would have moved furniture in front of the door though I’m more than a bit paranoid! Thanks so much for the compliment on the Tornado’s costume. He had such a great time trick or treating! Have a great week!

I slept with the bathroom light on. At home I feel safe because of my husband, our dog and house alarm. So I made sure to bolt the hotel door and kept the light on to see lol. Thanks Katherine and I hope you have a great week!
