Weekly Wrap-Up #134

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.  Nothing exciting happened here but the weather has cooled down. Of course now I have a cold lol.  To make things worse I had to work on Saturday so I’m really tired.  I’ll spend most of Sunday in bed resting and visiting blogs.

Currently reading or listening to:

  • Second Chance Girl by Susan Mallery (eARC for a blog tour) – I’m 50% in and loving this.
  • Ready Player One (Audiobook) by Ernest Cline – The 2 month wait from library was worth it.  As soon as I started listening to this I knew I was going love this book. Wil Wheaton (Stand By Me, Star Trek Next Generation) is the narrator and I used to listen to his podcast. He has a great voice and a perfect fit for this story filled with 80’s pop culture. I’m geeking out with all the 80’s mentions ranging from the video games, tv shows, movies and music. There is a scene where the character uses a quote from a movie and right away I knew it was from The Last Star Fighter (one of my favorite 80’s movies). So you see why this book makes me happy?? lol  Ready Player One is a movie being released next year and I can’t wait to watch it.  Here is the trailer:

Here is what happened since my last Weekly Wrap Up:

Currently watching:

I’m still watching season 3 of Outlander and this last episode was difficult for me to watch. Claire and Jamie are still apart but I do like how the show is depicting this part of the story. I just wish they would reunite already but I heard we have till the 6th episode for this to happen.  So sorry you’ll be hearing me complain for 3 more weeks lol.

Because of the Emmy’s I need to watch Handmaid’s Tale and Big Little Lies. I have been wanting to watch these and it’s great that they won awards this year.

What are you watching?

I hope you have a great week!

  1. I wish it would cool down here. Sorry about the cold. Isn’t RPO audio the best!!! Loved that one. I would love to watch Handmaid’s Tale but we don’t have Hulu and I can’t see spending more on TV! Hope you have a great week!

It looks like our weather is going to warm up again this week. I wish it would make up it’s mind if it want’s to be cold or hot lol. I think that is the cause of my cold lol. Thanks Grace and I hope you have a great week too!

  2. I just watched last weeks Outlander yesterday, and I was devastated. It was hard to watch what Jamie and Claire were doing apart. *sob* It made me feel like they had given up on each other. I don’t know. I only read part of the first book, so everything I see, I am seeing for the first time. All I know is that I need them back together. Now.

It is so hard to watch Outlander but I like how they are doing it so far. I’m glad they faded out with Jamie in the cave, I did not want to see him with Mary lol. It’s going to be a long wait until we see them together. Thanks Sam and I hope you have a great week!

My watchlist is getting as long as my TBR list lol. I need more time in the day to enjoy reading and watching tv. Thanks Jenea for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

  3. That trailer looks pretty good. And I loved The Last Starfighter! Such a fun movie… I wanted to hang out at that trailer park lol.

I missed the Emmy’s but I thought they did a great job adapting Big Little Lies.

    Have a great week!

I have to find a copy of The Last Starfighter so I can watch it again. It was a fun movie and I’ll always remember “greetings starfighter” lol. I need to watch Big Little Lies soon. Thanks Greg for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

  4. I’m pretty excited about Ready Player One becoming a movie! Although I still haven’t read it 😀 maybe I should, before it comes out. It would be interesting to see the movie then 🙂
Hope you have a great week too!

Ready Player One is a great book and I hope you get to read it. I had a crush on Wil Wheaton so I’m really enjoying listening to him narrate lol. Thanks Evelina and I hope you have a great week too!
