Reading Challenges: 2017 Discussion Challenge

If you follow authors or bloggers on social media you probably have seen their posts about convention and signings. There aren’t a lot of signings close to where I live so I drool over everyone’s posts and always think “someday I want to be there!”.  I would love to meet authors and other book bloggers.  As an added bonus these events are held in cities I would love to go on vacation to.

Here is my bookish bucket list of author events:

Penned Con (US)

Yallwest (US)

YALLFest (US)

Romance Author & Reader Event (RARE) (Europe)

Book Expo (US)

BookCon (US)

Romance Writers of America (RWA) blogger day (US)

Book Bonanza in Denver (US)

Storycon (US)

Apollycon (US)

Readers on the River (US)

Reader & Author Get Together (RAGT) (US)

RT Convention (US)

Young Adult Literature Convention (YALC) (England)

Festival New Romance (France)

What author events have you attended or would love to attend?

  1. I live 40 mins out of NYC, so I have been to BookCon every year (flew to Chicago last year). I went to BEA for the first time last year. It was intense, but a neat experience. I loved YallFest. I was going to try to get there again this year, but alas, I cannot fit it in. I would love to go to all the US events you mentioned. They all look like a lot of fun. I am frustrated that the one weekend I am leaving town, there is a big romance authors event in the city, Big Apple Author Event. It would have been really easy for me to attend, and a friend of mine was going, but I will be in North Carolina that weekend. My timing is terrible! I hope you get to one (or all) of these events!

All the good events are far from me lol. I’ve heard BEA can be crazy but I would love to go at least once lol. I hope we both get to some of the events soon =)
