Weekly Wrap-Up #127

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.  It was another quiet and normal week for us.  Just work and the heat. I knew this week at work would be busy so I only had one review post on the blog. I was so tired from work I didn’t have time to read. I started Wonder Woman two weeks ago and hopefully I’ll get to read some chapters this weekend.  But I did finish the audiobook Clam Jam and thought it was good. If I didn’t listen to audiobooks during my commute I would probably never get any reading done during the week.

San Diego Comic Con is this week and it’s great seeing all the posts on social media. Part of me wishes I was there but then I think about the long lines and crowds and change my mind lol. We have some family trips we want to plan for the next two years so maybe after that I’ll try to go back to SDCC. It is a lot of fun if you don’t mind the crowds.  This week they previewed new trailers and I can’t wait for Stranger Things to come back!! Who remembers the video game Dragons Lair??  I remember when it was released and thought it was amazing lol. I love this trailer!

Here is the new trailer for Justice League.  I can’t wait to see this too!

Currently reading or listening to:

  • Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo (ARC paperback)
  • A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (audiobook) – I’m participating in a read-a-long with a Facebook group. This is my first read-a-long and I hope I can keep up. Has anyone done a read-a-long?

Here is what happened since my last Weekly Wrap Up:

Reviews coming soon:

  • All or Nothing at All by Jennifer Probst (eARC) – for a blog tour
  • Clam Jam by R.C. Boldt (audiobook)

I can’t wait to see what happens. And I love the kids and 80’s setting. Thanks Jenea and I hope you have a great week too!

  1. I can’t wait for Stranger Things as well as Justice League and I so wish the Aquaman movie was this year and not next year!!!! He is my favorite Justice League hero! Wonder Woman is a close second. 🙂

I really want that Wonder Woman book!! 🙂 Hope you get to finish it soon.

Hope you have a great week!

I can’t wait to see the Aquaman movie too. And I love Jason Momoa!! The Wonder Woman book is good but I just need to find more time to read. Thanks Stormi for stopping by and have a great week!

  2. Stranger Things 2 looks awesome! Like amazing! There is so much amazing looking stuff coming out of SDCC…

There was so many exciting entertainment news revealed at SDCC. It makes staying in the lines worth it lol. Thanks Greg for stopping by and have a great week!

  3. Ha! I know what you mean about not getting any reading done if it weren’t for audio books – I read at least double the number of audio books to physical reads every year. I with you about ComiCon too. We have a decent one here in Dallas and I never go – I just can’t stomach the crowds.

That’s cool about the read-a-along. I’ve never done one because I fear I won’t be able to read at the pace they do – that I’ll be either too fast or too slow. I’ll be curious to hear what you think about it.
    Have a great week!

I always have an audio book with me. It’s a good way to add some reading to my day, especially since it can take me an hour to get home. I’m a little nervous about this read-a-long for the same reasons. So far it’s been ok and we just talk about what we like so far. But I hope I can keep up with the group lol. Thanks Berls for stopping by and have a great week!

  4. One thing about the heat, we can stay inside and catch up on watching our shows. I can’t wait for Stranger Things to return. Really enjoyed the first season. Have a great week and stay cool:)

I’ve been trying to do my errands early during the day to avoid the heat. Then stay inside and read lol. I really liked the first season of Stranger Things and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Thanks Laura and have a great week (and stay cool too lol).

  5. Nice you had another normal week. It’s handy to post less in a week when you are less busy. The comic con does sound fun, but I don’t think i would like the crowds very much.

I don’t think I’ve done a read-a-long so far, but i do seem them regularly around. It does sound like a funny way to be able to discuss the book a bit with others who are reading it. Have a great week!

This was another busy week for me I didn’t have time to do a Sunday post lol. I just finished the book for the read-a-long and now waiting to talk about it with the group. I’ll have to see if I like doing this lol. Thanks Lola and I hope you have a great week!
