Weekly Wrap-Up #122

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone and I hope you all had a good week.  It’s been a while since my last wrap-up post. My last post was in early April and life just got busy after that.  Here is a recap of what I’ve been up to:

  • In April we went to the Silicon Valley Comic Con so my daughter Kailee can meet actor Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter movies). Kailee was really excited to meet him but they rushed the line for the pictures so she barely had a minute to talk to him. She was happy to meet him but a little disappointed. I don’t think it was worth the 2 hour drive and cost for the convention and photo. But at least she has a souvenir photo and he said he liked her pink converse lol.
  • In May we were busy, busy, busy! This was Kailee’s month. She had her final drama club performance, academic award assembly, induction into the National Junior Honor Society, 8th grade promotion and Catholic Confirmation mass. Also in May was my brother-in-law’s wedding. Some family came before the wedding so I took time off work.  It was nice to spend time with the family and it was a beautiful wedding. Now we are planning a baby shower in September for the newlyweds and it is going to be a Harry Potter theme. This is going to be fun to plan and we are getting some great ideas from Pinterest.

Now that it is June the kids are out of school so life is finally slowed down for me to have blogging time.

  1. I really need to see Wonder Woman. Actually, I just need to get out. I need a date night with the Hubs soon. We have not had any time to ourselves since baby number 3 was born four months ago. OMG and I’m just realizing this now. haha. Have a great week!

    • Kathy

You deserve a date night with your husband. I really liked the movie and feel like watching it again. I hope you enjoy it or at least get to go out. Thanks Lauren and have a great week!

  2. I also had a very busy few months and things are finally calming down.

Sorry the Comic Con wasn’t what you expected and she didn’t get to talk to him. I am starting to realize they over book those events for the money and the fans miss out on a great experience since they spend a lot of money. It’s like a celebrity zoo. I went to BookCon and was so disappointed with how it was, they just really don’t care about the fans. I am glad your daughter has a picture to remember the experience and the pink converse do sound awesome! 🙂

Have a great week, Kathy! Happy Reading! ox

It is really sad since the fans suffer. I heard BookCon wasn’t as exciting this year. But it was nice you and your daughter had a day in the city together. It’s great you have reading in common. Thanks Michelle and I hope you have a great week too!

  3. Glad you loved Wonder Woman. A Harry Potter themed baby shower sounds like a lot of fun. While it wasn’t an intimate event, it is nice your daughter got a photo with him. Hope the week ahead is lovely!

    • Kathy

I’m gathering so many ideas for the shower and I can’t wait. It was disappointing but she does have a photo. Thanks Kim and I hope you have a great week!

  4. I might just have to see Wonder Woman. Some friends have loved it, and the cast is amazing.

Enjoy your reading…and returning to your blogging.

Thanks for sharing your busy events…and enjoy the rest of the summer. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    • Kathy

I hope you get to see the movie. The cast is amazing and exciting to see the strong women on the screen. The rest of the summer should be relaxing for me (I hope lol). Thanks Laurel-Rain and I hope you have a great week!

  5. Aw sorry to hear the Comic Con thing was rushed! That’s tough for little one who is looking forward and does all the waiting. And wow you have been busy! I keep hearing that Wonder Woman is really good! I need to see that and Guardians 2. And Black Panther looks like it’s going to be pretty good!

    • Kathy

It was disappointing and the fans suffer from it. I think it depends on the con and the guest. This was the first time I had seen it so rushed. Life was busy but now I’m glad to have a relaxed schedule lol. I still need to see Guardians 2. I hope you enjoy both movies and have a great week!

  6. Aw I’m sorry to hear Comic Con was used but at least your little one got her photo and an awesome memory of him telling her he liked her shoes!

I’ve been wanting to see Wonder Woman but we haven’t had the money but I’ve heard it is really good. The black Panther trailer looks amazing and I can’t wait to see it.

I hope you have a wonderful week!
