In the explosive finale to New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost’s Night Prince series, Vlad is in danger of losing his bride to an enemy whose powers might prove greater than the Prince of Vampire’s….

In the wrong hands, love can be a deadly weapon.

For nearly six hundred years, Vlad Tepesh cared for nothing, so he had nothing to lose. His brutal reputation ensured that all but the most foolhardy stayed away. Now falling in love with Leila has put him at the mercy of his passions. And one adversary has found a devastating way to use Vlad’s new bride against him.

A powerful spell links Leila to the necromancer Mircea. If he suffers or dies, so does she. Magic is forbidden to vampires, so Vlad and Leila enlist an unlikely guide as they search for a way to break the spell. But an ancient enemy lies in wait, capable of turning Vlad and Leila’s closest friends against them…and finally tearing the lovers apart forever.

Into the Fire was an explosive series finale. I love Vlad and Leila and I hate to say goodbye to them!

Since you need to read the previous books my review will be short and spoiler free. This book had everything I love about this series – the romance, sex, action and comedy. Vlad has changed so much from the first book.  Because of his love for Leila this final book shows a more vulnerable side to him. He’s still the brooding Count but I was surprised and moved at the stakes he would take to protect her. Leila is just as feisty and stubborn as ever, which as much as I love her it still irritated me.  The plot had some surprising and entertaining twists. This may have been the finale but I felt this wasn’t the end.  I hope there is a spinoff for Ian, Gretchen and Maximus!

This was my first series from author Jeaniene Frost and now I need to read her other books.  I love her writing and the exciting stories.

5 Star Audiobook Review

Narrator Tavia Gilbert does another incredible performance for Into the Fire.  She narrated the entire series and I can’t imagine anyone else for this role.  I loved the emotion and excitement she always brings to her performances. And the unique voices she creates for each character. Tavia Gilbert is one of my favorite narrators and I can’t wait to listen to more books with her.
