Weekly Wrap-Up #115

Posted January 15, 2017 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 14 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.  We survived this weeks rainstorm. It rained from Sunday to Thursday, the strongest was on Tuesday night. Our lights flickered but we didn’t lose any power. Luckily our fence didn’t fall (we’ve been putting off repairing it).  The creek by our house is full but other than that our area wasn’t damaged. It is supposed to rain again this week so hopefully all this rain will help our hot summers. This week at work was stressful but I’m happy to have a 3 day weekend.  Monday is Martin Luther King Jr Day and I took the day off to do volunteer work with my youngest daughter.  My girls and I have been volunteering for the last 4 years and this is a holiday we always look forward to. Not only is my daughter earning service hours for school but it is an opportunity for us to give back to the community.

  1. I have been search in internet for blog post ideas, I have found a few and will check out that one too. It has give me some great ideas, I am excited about. I even wrote two posts already with some of the topics I found.

I know you all needed that rain! I hope you get enough so the summer isn’t rainless.

My daughter and I have a date to see beauty and the beast. I want to make a day of it. She is excited to see it.

Have a great week, Kathy! Happy Reading! ox

It feels good to volunteer together. My daughters and I plan to watch the movie together. Thank you Grace and have a great week!

  2. Good news that you didn’t suffer any damage. It rained a lot here, too, and there were flood warnings, but in the city, we’ve stayed intact.

I had forgotten about MLK Day! Now that I’m retired, I often overlook those holidays that would have meant a day off. LOL.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

It’s good to hear you were safe during the storm! I look forward to the holidays and after MLK it will be a while till the next one (which I think is Presidents Day). I hope you stay dry this week (it is supposed to rain again here). Have a great week Laurel-Rain!

I loved It’s You! I’m a huge paranormal romance fan so I hope you like it. Thank you Megan and have a great week!

  3. I’m so excited for Beauty and The Beast, I can barely contain myself. I just love Emma Watson and who knew she could sing? She’s something else!

That’s great about you volunteering with your girls, such a great example to set for them! Where will you be volunteering? Have a great time!

I was really surprised with her singing! I love her too and she’s perfect as Belle. We will be volunteering at a school and there will be different projects (like cleaning up the yard or painting). It’s fun and rewarding. Thank you Berls and have a great week!

  4. Wow that’s a lot of raining! Glad you didn’t get flooding though. 3 day weekends are nice and that’s awesome you guys volunteer. Hope your weekend is wonderful. 🙂

The Falconer is one I’ve had on my maybe list forever! Will be happy to see your thoughts. Looking forward to more discussion posts too. 🙂

I love 3 day weekends! I think they should make it a law that all holidays be on either a Monday or Friday lol. I’ve had The Falconer on my list for a long time too and the 3rd book is coming out this year. I thought this was a good time to finally read it lol. Thanks Greg and have a great week!

  5. We had a good rain this weekend, but I am done with it. We needed it though but I hate rain though it is better than ice and we could have gotten more of that. I hope you enjoy Witch Slapped, I have enjoyed that series on audio but Belfry’s voice drives me crazy…lol.

Have a great week and happy reading!

We need the rain here too and it is a lot better to deal with than ice or snow! I’m enjoying Witch Slapped and Belfry’s voice bothers me too lol. Thank Stormi and have a great week!
