Posted December 26, 2016 by Kathy in Giveaway, Year in Review / 40 Comments

I can’t believe this year is almost over!  This year work and family kept me busy so I wasn’t able to read as much as I wanted to but I did discover some great books this year. Let’s celebrate this year with the Top 10 of 2016 Blog Hop! A huge thank you to our hosts TWO CHICKS ON BOOKS, FIKTSHUN, TALES OF A RAVENOUS READER and DARK FAERIE TALES!

Welcome to day 1 of the Top 10 of 2016 Blog Hop. Today’s list is Best Books I’ve Read in 2016. The book doesn’t have to be released in 2016, just a book you’ve read in 2016.  It was hard to narrow down my choices since I read different genres. But here is my list of Best Books of 2016, in no particular order:

Lost Stars by Claudia Gray

J.C. and the Bijoux Jolis by Katy Regnery

The Creeping Shadow by Jonathan Stroud

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine

Double Down by Gwenda Bond

Winter by Marissa Meyer

Heartless by Marissa Meyer

Day Zero by Kresley Cole

That’s my list! Which book was your favorite from this year?

I’ve seen so many blogs talk about Sarah J Mass so I finally took a chance on her book. It was really good and I have to finish the series in 2017. When We Collided sounds really good. Thank you Megan for stopping by!

I read my first SJM book this year and I can’t believe I waited so long. Once I’m done with the Throne of Glass series I’ll read ACOMAF. Thank you for stopping by!

I still need to read Me Before You. I haven’t seen the movie yet because I want to read the book first. Thank you for stopping by!

  2. My favorite was one that I’d already read–“Wuthering Heights”. 🙂 Great list!! I have “Heartless” on my bookshelf right now. I promised myself I’d wait to read it after I read the ones I promised to review first. 🙂

Thank you Christine! I try to read the ones I promised to review first but I couldn’t any longer to read Heartless lol.

I read so many amazing books this year! Some of may favorites were The Forbidden Wish, The Winner’s Kiss, and Caraval!

  4. I liked Heartless as well! Have you read the rest of the Grisha trilogy? I thought that series was okay, but the Six of Crows duology is SO good. 😀 Have you read The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron? It’s my favorite YA novel of 2016, and it’s definitely worth the read. All of Cameron’s books, for that matter. Fabulous list, Kathy! =)

Thanks Lola! I’m going to try to be better organized for 2017 and create my list through out the year. Hopefully it won’t be so hard to narrow down the list at the end of the year.
