It’s Day 3 of the Top 10 of 2016 Blog Hop! A huge thank you to our hosts TWO CHICKS ON BOOKS, FIKTSHUN, TALES OF A RAVENOUS READER and DARK FAERIE TALES!

Today’s list is the readers/bloggers choice for Best _____ of 2016. We select ONE or more of these topics – Villains, Contemporaries, Dual POV’s, Novellas, Adult titles, New Adult titles, Love Triangles, Couples, Bad Boys or Debuts. This list must be from books read in 2016.

I am sharing my list of the Best Audiobook Narrators of 2016.  These are narrators who have become my favorites because their performances were amazing. They don’t just read the book to the audience.  They bring the story to life by creating distinct voices for the characters and capture their personalities and emotions perfectly. Their performances combined with the talented writing makes for a great adventure. I listen to audiobooks primarily in the car (to and from work) so I probably look crazy laughing out loud, crying, swooning or gasping from their narrations.  Here is my list, in no particular order:

Davina Porter – Written in My Own Heart’s Blood by Diana Gabaldon

Rebecca Soler – Heartless and Winter by Marissa Meyer

Elizabeth Evans – Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Lauren Fortgang – Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

January LaVoy – Bloodline by Claudia Gray

Lorelei King – First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones and Moon Called by Patricia Briggs

Emily Bevan – The Creeping Shadow by Jonathan Stroud

Cassandra Campbell – Serafina and the Twisted Staff by Robert Beatty

Khristine Hvam – Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor

Rebecca Gibel – Splintered by A.G. Howard

That’s my list. Who was your favorite from one of these topics – Villains, Contemporaries, Dual POV’s, Novellas, Adult titles, New Adult titles, Love Triangles, Couples, Bad Boys or Debuts?

  1. I’m going the audio book route for Serafina and the Black Cloak almost solely because I saw Cassandra Campbell was the narrator! She’s amazing. I love Lorelei King and Rebecca Soler too. I bet the Lockwood and Co books are amazing on audio! I’ll have to look for them.

I’m sticking with the audiobooks for Serafina as long as Cassandra Campbell returns as the narrator. I love her too! I hope you try the audiobooks for Lockwood and Co. That is another series I’ve enjoyed all the audiobooks for but they do have different narrators for the books. But I still enjoy them (it’s like listening to a spooky story around a campfire lol).

I haven’t listened to that series yet but it is on my TBR. I didn’t realize Lauren Fortgang narrated that series too. Now I’ll have to move the series up on my TBR list! Thanks Katrina!
