Return to the beloved Sinful Suitors series from New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Sabrina Jeffries in this delightfully sexy winter-themed novella!

Stunned by the heat of an unexpected kiss on a cold winter’s eve, two strangers from vastly different worlds turn hotheaded principles into burning passion in Sabrina Jeffries’s charming yuletide story, The Heiress and the Hothead.

3.5 Stars for The Heiress and the Hothead

The Heiress and the Hothead is a holiday historical romance that was sweet, witty and heartwarming.  This novella is part of the Sinful Suitors series but it can be read as a standalone. Even though this was a quick read I felt the story was complete and I enjoyed the main characters Lord Stephen Corry and Miss Amanda Keene.  Lord Stephen is a journalist who advocates for the rights of employees in the English cotton mills.  For his next article he needs to interview the American mill owner, Miss Amanda Keene. Miss Keene is the heiress known as a spinster who is rarely seen in society. When Lord Stephen kisses a beautiful stranger under the mistletoe he is shocked of the attraction he feels. The kiss ignites into passion until they both become aware of each other’s identity. Amanda has read Lord Stephen’s articles and is outraged at his depiction that all mill owners treat their employees poorly. Amanda takes pride in the safety and welfare of her employees but Lord Stephen finds it hard to believe. The Heiress and the Hothead is not just a romance but a battle of wits. Amanda and Stephen are both intelligent and passionate of their beliefs so their scenes are of heated arguments and playful banter.  This was a fun read but there was a sex scene that I thought was placed at an odd time of the story. Overall this was a good story and a unique holiday read. This was my first book from Sabrina Jeffries and I look forward to reading more from this author.

(This story also appears in the holiday anthology What Happens Under the Mistletoe which was released in 2015)

It was a strange time of the story to put the sex scene lol. But it was still a good story. I hope you enjoy this one. Thanks Katherine!
