Weekly Wrap Up #107

Posted October 29, 2016 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 11 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.

I’m finally back online!! I had migrated my blog to Ashley @ Nose Graze’s hosting service and her advice of allowing 2 weeks was spot on. It had nothing to do with her but with my former host. It was so frustrating dealing with them to transfer my domain. Their website didn’t have clear instructions and when I called them the service representative didn’t know what to do either! So many signs that I made a good choice at leaving them!!  Another a change is I bought a new laptop.  I didn’t splurge on a Mac (I need to buy a new water heater soon lol) but I took the advice of my brother-in-law on another affordable brand. No longer do I have to wait 10 minutes for a website to load. I felt like I was watching the sloth from Zootopia (here’s the trailer in case you haven’t see the movie).

While I was offline I got a lot of reading done and wrote my reviews. I’ll be posting them soon. We had our Halloween party on Friday and it was a lot of fun.  I dressed up as Harry Potter and showed off the wand I got from Wizarding World last summer. I’d love to hear your Halloween plans!!

  1. Hi, Kathy! Are you enjoying Lady Midnight on audio? I read all of Clare’s books, but Lady Midnight, I listened to the audio and loved it. Have a good week!

Hi Lauren! The story started off slow but now it is getting good. I read The Mortal Instruments & Infernal Devices series and loved them. But I need to read Simon and Magnus’ short stories since some of it is being mentioned in Lady Midnight. I can’t wait to find out what happens! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!

  2. I haven’t read Cassandra Clare, but her books definitely show up frequently.

Enjoy all of your new ones, and the lovely fall weather. Thanks for visiting my blog.

They are a good paranormal series. I needed a break from the adult romance I’ve been reading lol. Thanks Laurel-rain for stopping by!!

  3. Glad your move went smooth (sort of) and you’re all set now. Can’t wait to see what you think of Bloodline- I read it but haven’t seen many reviews so haven’t been able to talk about it. lol

Goodreads has some interesting reviews of Bloodline but I really liked it. It was fun to listen to because of the sound effects. My review is going up this week. Thanks Greg for stopping by and have a great week!

You had a great review and I’m so glad you liked it. Kresley Cole is one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to see what she does in the next book. Thanks for stopping by Kim and have a great week!

  4. Glad the move went well and congrats on the new laptop! I hope you are enjoying Lady Midnight – I love all Clare’s books and I read all of the novellas and did a City of Heavenly FIre re-read in anticipation of the Lady Midnight release. I thoroughly enjoyed it all. 🙂

Glad you had a good Halloween party – the costume sounds awesome!

    Have a great week!

  5. Glad to hear your hosting transfer went well even though it took some time to figure out. It must be great to have a new laptop that isn’t as slow as your previous one. And yay for getting a lot of reading done. I hope this week was a good one too!
