My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a Weekly Wrap Up post. I took a blog break for September since I had a lot of things going on. I did post some reviews and blog tours I had signed up for but I didn’t have time to visit blogs or read. September was busy with the kids going back to school and planning for my daughter’s 18th birthday party. The party felt like I was planning for a wedding. I spent most of the weekends leading up to the party shopping for supplies and deciding on the food. We made flower arrangements, a photo booth stand (which we found the instructions on Pinterest) and photo booth props. After all the stress of planning the party was amazing. Our family and her friends came to celebrate the big event. Marie had designed her cake and it was just like she hoped it would be. I was responsible for picking it up at the bakery and I was so nervous it would get ruined. It turned out to be really heavy and didn’t budge while I drove. So the cake made it to the party in one piece. The party theme was Sailor Moon so we decorated the club house with stars and moons. I bought the star and moon balloons from Etsy and they were perfect for the party. We all had a great time and now I can relax. Here are pictures from her party.

This is my first post using the lovely meme image designed by Michelle @ Because Reading Limabean Design! I loved all the meme images she designed. If you are looking for something new for your blog you should definitely talk to Michelle!

Currently reading or listening to:

I’ve been listening to Written In My Own Heart’s Blood by Diana Gabaldon since early September and I have 6 more hours to listen to. This audiobook is 44 hours long with 146 chapters! This is a good book but the historical details drag the story and I didn’t pay attention lol. But Davina Porter is an amazing narrator. This book is for my Reading Assignment Challenge so since I didn’t finish this for September I failed this challenge.

Here is what happened since my last Weekly Wrap Up:

It was fun planning and Pinterest has a lot of great ideas. It was just hard selecting what we can do within our budget. But it was a great party for her. Now I can relax and get some reading done lol. Thank you for stopping by Lauren and have a great week!

This is a milestone birthday so it was nice to have a big celebration. It was a fun party and now I can get more reading done. The kids grow so fast so this event will be nice to reminisce on later. Thanks for stopping by Laurel-Rain and have a great week!

  2. Wow– 44 hours! Now that’s an audiobook. Glad you had a nice September. And a nice birthday party for your daughter too. Hope you have a nice week ahead. 🙂

It is a long audiobook lol. The details of the American Revolution are interesting but I would rather know what’s going on with the characters without all that historical detail. I’m almost done and I can’t wait to listen to something new lol. September went by so fast but now I’m looking forward to get more reading done. Thanks Greg for stopping by and have a great week!

Thanks Laura! The party was fun. This audiobook was driving me crazy at times. Just when the story was getting good we would switch to a different characters POV and more historical facts. But I finally finished it and I can’t wait for the next book.

That’s ok. I’ve done that before too and realize it after I hit send lol. Thanks Laura for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!
