Weekly Wrap-Up #103

Posted August 6, 2016 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 8 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.

The weather cooled down this week and was so nice to get a break from the high temperatures. We actually had a cold and windy day which felt really good. I’m feeling a lot better now that weather cooled down. This nice weather is supposed to continue this week so I’ll be able to walk outside (and catch some Pokemons lol).

My youngest daughter Kailee got her braces put on this week. She was in tears that night because her mouth was sore but she is feeling better. My oldest daughter Marie also has braces so she’s been reassuring Kailee that it will get better. Marie is also giving her tips on what foods to eat while her mouth is sore. Kailee starts school on Thursday so I hope by then she’ll feel more comfortable with the braces. Summer flew by so fast for us and now it’s time for back-to-school shopping. Is anyone else dreading this as much as I do? lol

Michelle @ Because Reading (Limabean Design) created the image for my new feature called Get 2 Know. I love it!! I love the colors and the flowers. Michelle will be creating more meme images for me and I can’t wait to share them.

Get 2 Know is a new feature I am collaborating with my daughter Marie. We bring characters to life by getting to know them with their Instagram and style of fashion. Here is the Instagram of Natalie Grayson from Cream of the Crop. Check out my post to find out more about Natalie.

  1. Wow- school already. Hard to believe the way this summer is flying by. It’s funny how a cool day can feel good after all the heat! Good luck catching the Pokemons!!

Nice Instagram pics! It’s always fun to see how creative people are with those. 🙂

I love how creative people are on Instagram but I am amazed at how much stuff they have to put in their photos. I’ve been looking through my kids stuff to use for my photos lol. Thanks for stopping by Greg and have a great week!

It’s nice to have someone else with braces in the house to give Kailee advice. She is feeling better now and trying to eat more. I love what Michelle created for me. Thanks Katherine for stopping by and have a great week!

  2. It is hard to believe that school is back! How short was this summer!

I noticed the cooler weather after coming home from a few days in Northern California near the Oregon border, with beach weather. I decided I took off just in time to miss the heat, but apparently it wasn’t that bad around here.

But it was great not to return to the steamy weather we had before.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

It was nice to have cooler weather. Your Oregon trip was just the right time to escape from the heat. I hope our weather continues to stay cool for us. Thanks Laurel-Rain for stopping by and have a great week!
