Weekly Wrap-Up #98

Posted June 18, 2016 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 11 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.

Now that the kids are out of school we are having quiet weeks. Work is still crazy but at least I get to relax once I get home. Sunday is Father’s Day here in the US, so Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers! We are planning to take my husband out to eat and go to the mall. We’ll be going on vacation in 2 weeks and everyone needs some new summer clothes.

COYER started Saturday and I’m excited for this challenge. I have no set amount of books I want to read but I do want to tackle the ARCs I have. Surprisingly I haven’t been requesting any ARCs from Netgalley or Edelweiss. This is because I haven’t had the time to visit the sites and when I am there nothing is grabbing my attention. But this is a good thing since I have so many now. There is still time to sign up for this challenge and here is the information.

Currently reading or listening to:

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead (Audiobook)

Awakened by Elisabeth Naughton (ARC)

Here is what happened since my last Weekly Wrap Up:

Book Review – Dark Sexy Knight

Release Day Blitz – Unchained

Release Day Blitz – The Starbright Series

Audiobook Review – The Shadow Queen

Here is what is happening this week on the blog:

Pre-order Blitz – Daughters of the Bride by Susan Mallery

Blitz – Dirty Sexy Cuffed by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde

Book Review – From This Day Forward by Lauren Layne

Reviews coming soon:

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo(audiobook)

The Mercy Thompson series 1 to 3 by Patricia Briggs (audiobook)

Currently Watching

I’m only watching Outlander and Game of Thrones. Both shows have been really good and I can’t wait to see the next episodes. Since I’ve read the Outlander series I know what is going to happen but I still love watching it brought to life on the screen. And I really like that the writers have made some slight changes from the books. As for Game of Thrones I can’t wait to watch Sunday’s episode. I hope Jon Snow kills Ramsey Bolton!!

How was your week?

  1. Lol about Game of Thrones- so true! I am chomping at the bit for tonight’s episode!! Although I’m bummed the season is almost over. 🙁 And with my trying urban fantasy I’m definitely interested in your Mercy thompson reviews so will watch for those.

The seasons are too short! But I hope tonight has a good ending. The Mercy Thompson series is fun so I hope you give it a try. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week Greg!!

I’m the same way with Netgalley. It’s a good thing that nothing has really caught my eye yet lol. I hope you had a nice Father’s Day celebration with your family today. Have a great week!!

  2. Enjoy your reading…and listening. I should have started Game of Thrones…I gave up the idea once I knew it had been going for a while. Perhaps I can binge-watch it somewhere.

Have a great week, and I hope to eventually catch up on my review books. Thanks for visiting my blog.

  3. My kids are out, too. It’s so nice sleeping in on the days my husband doesn’t have to work. 🙂

I haven’t watched GoT yet. I’m hoping it’ll come to Netflix. *fingers crossed*

I don’t get to sleep in but I’m enjoying my break from their homework lol. I hope you get to watch GOT soon. I love the show!

  4. That’s good you get to relax once you’re home even though your work is still crazy. I hope you all had a fun father’s day.
I am also very excited that Coyer has started, I hope I can make a dent in my review copies pile. I do have a lot of netgalley books and review copies I got directly from authors to get through. I didn’t set a goal either, so we’ll see how many books I get read. I started with a few novella’s which makes for a nice start. I hope you’re having a great week!

I have some novella’s to read so thanks for the tip!! That does make for a nice start since they are so fast to read. Thanks Lola!
