Weekly Wrap-Up #93

Posted April 9, 2016 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 12 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.

It has been a while since my last wrap up post. Life’s been busy. Work is still stressful since we are getting close to the live date for our new software. I’ll be out of town for 3 days for training so it will be quiet here on the blog. I hope I can get some reading done at night, to get caught up on my TBR and also for relaxation.

Another reason I’ve been MIA is because of our internet. We finally switched internet providers but the change didn’t go so smoothly. After 3 service appointments everything is working fine. Everyone can now use the internet at the same time without problems. Yeah to no more fighting and staring at my laptop waiting for a website to load lol!

I did have some fun while I was away. My daughter loves Hello Kitty so when she heard the Hello Kitty Café truck was making a stop at our mall we had to go. We stood in line for an hour and half to get these cute treats. They tasted good but were overpriced.

Currently reading or listening to:

I finished listening to Unhinged and Ensnared by A.G. Howard. The Splintered series is a wild and creative ride in Wonderland and I got hooked into the series. My mini audiobook reviews will be up soon.

I also read January (Calendar Girl #1) by Audrey Carlan. I’ve heard a lot about this series so I finally made time to read this. Also the author is going to be at a book signing event I’m going to in June so I wanted to read her books. I thought this was good and I’m curious to read the next book in the series.

Right now I’m listening to Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I’ve seen this series on other blogs so I’m finally seeing what all the hype is about. It’s ok so far. I’m also reading Fallout by Gwenda Bond and I’m loving this! Teenage Lois Lane is fun to read about. I just received the second book from Netgalley so I’m already excited about that book.

YouTube pick of the week

Have you seen this trailer? My family can’t wait to see this!! We love Star Wars so it’s exciting to see what they are doing with the franchise.

Currently Watching

Outlander is back!! Season 2 premiered on Saturday but I watched it Friday night on Starz.com. I love this first episode. I stayed away from all the spoilers for this season so I can enjoy every episode. So I can’t wait to see their interpretation of the second book.

How was your week?

They were overpriced but some of the treats tasted good. We are so happy the internet is working now. My husband sometimes get kicked out his game but it’s their server, it’s a really popular game. Thanks Michelle and have a great week!

  1. What a cute Hello Kitty truck! I think back fondly of the days my daughter loved Hello Kitty. There was a cute store in the mall that we couldn’t walk past without going in.

She is my only daughter (after three boys), so we had fun.

The Calendar Girl series looks intriguing.

Enjoy your week…and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

It was so cute but I wish they had more merchandise. I still love Hello Kitty and use the stationary lol. That is a fun memory Laurel!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

We’ve gone to so many conventions now so we are used to waiting in line for something lol. It was a fun day and the treats were too cute to eat. It will be a couple of months before work settles down but I’m just taking it day by day. I can’t wait for my vacation in July lol. Thanks Kim for stopping by and have a great week!!

  2. Outlander. Sigh. I love you, Jamie.
Now I’m just daydreaming about him now.
The show was pretty good last night. Lucky you were getting to watch it Friday. 😉

I love Jamie and Sam is portrays him perfectly! The premiere was amazing and it was good that Starz aired it early. I was busy Saturday night so I didn’t have time to watch. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Thanks Lauren for stopping by and have a great week!

  3. That Hello Kitty truck looks cute! I’ll bet that was fun (in spite of the crazy wait)… and yay for Internet! Mine went down temporarily but I didn’t have the situation you did- it’s so frustrating when you have to have multiple service calls!

That Star Wars trailer is totally awesome! I might get in trouble for saying this but it looks so much better to me than Force Awakens- it just feels different.

I feel the same way about Rogue! For me it’s because of the new characters and actors so I’m looking forward to a new story. Thanks Greg and have a great week!

  4. I am sorry to hear you’re life has been busy and stressful! I hope things will be a bit calmer for you soon, although with the new software you mentioned going live it probably will be a bit hectic until that runs smoothly.

I am glad to hear your internet is working smoothly again, even though the change didn’t went smoothly, it is good they managed to fix things.

The Hello Kitty truck looks so cute! And that’s great the candy tasted good even if a bit overpriced.

I am glad to hear you enjoyed January! I am at June so far and it’s still a good series, although the first 3 books were my favourite so far. I’ll have to keep an eye out for your review of January. I hope you’ll have a great week!

I really liked January and I’m afraid to read the next books. I liked Wes and Mia together so I would hate to see her fall in love with someone else lol. But I’ll read the next books because I am so curious to see what happens in each month!! Thanks Lola for stopping by and have a great week!!
