Weekly Wrap-Up #89

Posted February 13, 2016 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 20 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week.

Nothing exciting happened during the week. On Saturday we volunteered at the Girls Scouts Mega Drop, this is the distribution of the cookies. It was crazy seeing all the palettes of cookies just waiting to be handed out. We helped with the caramel delights, which is one of my favorite cookies. Troops received a range of 7 boxes up to 92 boxes. It was quite a workout lifting the boxes but it was a fun way to get the community hours my daughter needed. Her troop will be selling cookies next week and I hope they sell all of them. I don’t want to have to buy some of the left overs.

Valentine’s Day is Sunday and we plan to watch Dead Pool. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the movie so I hope we like it. How do you plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day?

  1. We were thinking about going to see a movie too, The 5th Wave. But as it isn’t in the theatres near us, and it is snowing I’m not sure we are still going. Hope you enoy Deadpool. I’ve heard a lot of mixed things about it.

The 5th Wave sounds good and I hope you get see it. I just got back from Deadpool and it was good. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

  2. I’m keen to see Deadpool. I’ve got kind of a macabre sense of humour so am hoping it appeals!

Sounds like you’ve been busy on the cookie and Guides front!

No Valentine’s Day plans for me as I’m single… but that’s okay. A Sunday doing nothing suited!

    Have a lovely week!

There were a lot cookies and my arms are sore from all the lifting. The boxes weren’t heavy but we were busy filling up car after car. Thanks Laura and I hope you have a great week too!

  3. I also heard mixed reviews about Deadpool. I definitely need to see that one for myself.
We just had a nice Valentine’s Day breakfast. Since my man doesn’t like this day at all we aren’t doing anything else but spending the day together is pretty great too. 😀
    Have a great week 😉

Deadpool was really good. We don’t make a fuss out of this day either so it was just nice to get out and not cook lol. Thanks Maureen for stopping by and have a great week!

Deadpool was really good and funny!! We brought our teenage daughters but I did warn them about some of the scenes. They were fine lol. Thanks for stopping by Molly and I hope you have a great week!

Deadpool was really good and there are so many good movies coming out this year. I’ll have to wait for some of them to go on DVD or Netflix (going to a movie is so expensive even at matinee!). It is hard to turn away these cookies so good thing it’s only once a year lol. Thanks Laura and have a great week!

These cookies are hard to resist but good thing it is only once a year lol. I really liked Deadpool. I wasn’t sure if I would since sometimes I don’t like Ryan Reynolds humor but he was perfect for this movie! Thanks Stormi for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

  4. Ugh, I remember having to sell Girl Guide cookies as a kid, my poor parents always ended up taking boxes to work to guilt their coworkers into buying them! Our freezer was always full of mint melties 🙂

I sold some cookies at my work and to our family. I remember going door to door when I was little but it’s not safe to do that anymore. This year I didn’t buy a lot of cookies for our house so hopefully I don’t have to buy any leftovers that we couldn’t sell at booth sales lol. Thanks Jane for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

I hope I sell them all too lol. Deadpool was really good and I want to see it again lol. Thanks Grace!!
