Weekly Wrap-Up #84

Posted January 10, 2016 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 20 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This weekly meme is a chance to share news about your blog, books and life. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet bloggers and add more books to your collection.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good week. My week was busy as usual and it was hard to go back to work after my 3 day weekend. The kids also had a hard time going back to school but we are now back to our normal schedules. It has been raining here but we have had breaks in the weather.

I haven’t read any books this week except for the audiobook Cress by Marissa Meyer. This book is really good and I can’t put it down. Normally I only listen to audiobooks in the car or while working out but this week I was listening at every chance I had. Cress is my first book for 2016 so I’m starting the new year with a book that has me excited for reading. What are you reading?

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

Audiobook Review – Bound by Flames

Cover Reveal & Giveaway – Debauched

This Song Is (Not) For You Blog Tour – Promo & Giveaway

Book Review – Tempest Rising

Here is what is happening this week on the blog:

Floor 21 Blog Tour – Promo Post

Currently reading or listening to:

Cress by Marissa Meyer

Reading soon:

The Lie and The Lady by Kate Noble

I got mail!

My January XOXPerts package arrived this week. I love the selections for this month and out of all the books The Lie and The Lady by Kate Noble caught my eye. I haven’t read a historical romance in a long time so I can’t wait to read this.

I really loved Emma Chase’s Tangled and need to finish the series. She has a great sense of humor and she had me laughing out loud. I hope you have a great week too!

  1. It is hard to get back into the old routine after all the time off. I always hate the first week back. 🙂

I got my first book of the year down so that’s good. I started one, then started another and that’s the one I finished. Oh well… 🙂 Glad yours was good too!

I sent a message to the XOXpert organizer. I was waiting for them to have a sign up post so I can share it with everyone. But I know that we are getting new members since some are leaving the team. I’ll let you know once I found out. Have a great week!!

  2. I haven’t been able to get into Cress. I’m about 150 pages in and I’m just bored… I haven’t picked it back up in months. I really like the overall story so I don’t know what it is about that book that I found boring.

The beginning of the book is slow but then it picks up. I was surprised with how long this book was but the audio version is really good. I love the narrators performance especially for Iko. She was great. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

  3. I haven’t tried Cress yet but I have listened to the first two so I will get that one on audio as well. I have been in a little bit of a reading slump this week. 🙁 Just can’t seem to get in a mood to read. You got some great books! 🙂

    Happy reading!
ahh your killing me with those mysteries! This is the second blog I have seen the Madness of Mercury, so not I have to go check it out…lol. 🙂 Sounds like you have been a bit lucky lately I hope it rubs off on me. 🙂

I read the other books so Cress was the first audiobook I listened to. I love the narrator and her performance was perfect. She made the story even more fun and exciting. I’m on the waiting list for the next books and hopefully it won’t be too long of a wait. I hope you get out of your reading slump. Thanks Stormi!!

  4. My kids are really struggling right now too, it’s so hard to get back to routines, when the last few weeks have been a total free for all lol. Good luck to us both 🙂

Hopefully this week will be easier for both of us lol. Thanks Sara for stopping by and have a great week!

The XOXpert package is a surprise each month which makes it really fun. I get a UPS email telling me when it should arrive and I get so excited when the date draws closer lol. Too bad they don’t ship to Europe or give us e-ARCs. Thanks Lexxie!
