Weekly Wrap-Up #77

Posted November 14, 2015 by Kathy in Weekly Wrap-Up / 18 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I had a terrible week at work but after hearing about the shootings in France it put everything into perspective. I have nothing to complain about since it doesn’t compare to all the violence that happened that day. I’m sending my thoughts and prayers to all those touched by this tragedy.

Paris 2015

We have 14 days until our trip to Disneyland. We’ll be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and I can’t wait to just get away and spend time with my family.

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

Beyond The Books: My Bedtime Routine

Book Review – At the Water’s Edge

Book Blitz – Dead Ringer

Here is what is happening this week on the blog:

Beyond the Books – I am most proud of…

Release Day Blitz – Dark Alpha’s Claim by Donna Grant

Review – Campaigning for Christopher by Katy Regnery

Review – Marrying Mr. English by Katy Regnery

Currently reading or listening to:

Into the Still Blue (Under the Never Sky #3) by Veronica Rossi (audiobook)

Stirring Up Trouble by Andrea Laurence (ebook)

Around the blogosphere:

Fiction State of Mind revisits Battlestar Galactica for SciFi Month. This brought back memories of my childhood!

Thanks to the COYER Challenge Facebook group I’ve started thinking of challenges for 2016. Here are some blogs for ideas:

A Novel Challenge

The Herd Presents – Blogger Shame Review , New To You

Which challenges for 2016 are you signing up for? I hope you all have a great week!

Thanks Laurel! I can’t believe we’ve been together so long lol. I hope work gets better too =)

Yes, it does! Works sucks but I have my family and can escape from reality with a good book. Thanks Emma and have a great week!

  1. Amen to France- what a tragedy and it never seems to end. It’s nice seeing people coming together there though- inspiring.

I enjoyed your review of At The Water’s Edge. I thought about that one, and was intrigued by the Loch Ness monster reference- a shame it didn’t play more of a role. If it did I would probably give this a try. 🙂

Happy anniversary and hope your trip is fantastic!

Thanks Greg! Having the Loch Ness in the book would have been more exciting than dealing with some of the annoying characters lol.

  2. So much tragedy … it does put our everyday worries into perspective. 20 years is wonderful, hope you post photos of your trip to Disneyland. I have wanted to go since I was a little girl, the aim is to get there before I turn 50 haha

It is so awful what is going on in this world. But we have a lot to be thankful for even if things aren’t perfect. I hope you get to go to Disneyland and Mia would love it! Thanks!

  3. Happy Anniversary!! We just celebrated our 18th. You’re only a few years ahead of us. 🙂 We went to Disneyland in 1997, but I’m sure it’s changed since then. lol We haven’t made it to Disney World yet. It’s on our Bucket List. 🙂

I can’t wait to get away and also to finally be at Disneyland during the holidays. I can’t wait to see the park with all the Christmas decorations.

  4. It’s so sad what happened in Paris. That’s great your trip to dinsey land is co close and congrats to your almost 20th wedding anniversary! A trip to disney is something fun to look forward to. I am going to join Herding cats her Blogger Shame Challenge, really need it, I have to so many old review copies that I still haven’t read.

Thanks Lola! I didn’t get to read as many ARCs this year so I definitely need this challenge to help me stay on track.
