Weekly Wrap-Up #76

Posted November 8, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 19 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a nice week!!

My week was stressful because of the overtime. But I’ll be going on vacation after Thanksgiving (November 26) so I at least I have a break to look forward to. Because of work I’m keeping the blog schedule really light. I’ll still have my reviews, Beyond the Books meme and some blitz/blog tour promos but I’ll be spending most of my time reading and blogging ahead. I’ll still make time visiting blogs and groups on Facebook so I won’t be completely gone from social media.

My daughter, Tyler Marie, brought home more projects from her Floral Design class. They are really beautiful and they brightened up my day. She learned how to make corsages and boutonnieres. She is really enjoying this class and has told her friends she’ll sell corsages and boutonnieres for the upcoming school dances. She’s even looking for a job at a floral store.

I love coming home and seeing the new creations she brings. I can’t wait for the time off. Little House Living is full of tips so I can’t wait to try some. Thanks Laurel!

  1. Yay for vacation, that’s always nice to look forward to. Hope you have a great one- and less stress at work.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thanks Kim! I was going to read Illusion but A Pound of Flesh and Stirring Up Trouble also sound good. I’ll try to read more than one book for this month =)

  2. I love the cover of A Pound of Flesh. They all look like good reads. Those flowers are awesome. I hope your daughter is able to make some money from her passion, that sounds so fun. I am looking forward to your review for The Queen of the Tearling.

A Pound of Flesh sounds really good and I’m going to try to read it this month. I hope she sticks with the floral design. She’s having a lot of fun with it. I’m listening to The Queen of Tearling and it’s ok so far. I hope the story picks up soon. Thanks Karen!

  3. sounds like your daughter has found her niche, the arrangements are beautiful! Halfway thru The Queen of the Tearling I was ready to give up, not that it was bad, I just found it a bit meh. But it turned out OK, and for an ok read I’m surprised I’m tempted by book 2 lol

I stopped listening to The Queen of the Tearling. I was getting really bored with the audio version. But I wrote down the chapter I stopped at so I can later read the book. Maybe reading it will be better since I didn’t like the narrator lol. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Must be nice to be able too look forward to a break and vacation, sounds like you could use one after your busy week with overtime. Those floral designs your daughter made looks so pretty! I hope she can find a job at a floral store. Have a great week!

I can’t wait for my vacation! We’ll be going to Disneyland so it will be a busy trip but at least it’s a break from work. I hope my daughter stays with the floral design too. Thanks Lola!
