Weekly Wrap-Up #75

Posted October 25, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 19 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

This was another busy week but this time it was for something fun. At work we held our employee appreciation party and it was a Fall Festival theme. There was Halloween decorations put up throughout the office and we ended the week with a catered lunch. Staff came in costumes and our management team dressed up as superheroes. I dressed up as Batgirl and my partners were Batman, Captain America, Black Widow and our boss was Edna Mode (from The Incredibles). It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to do this again next year. As part of the celebration we picked secret boos, similar to secret elf for Christmas time. And I loved what my secret boo gave me!! This person must have seen me coloring during my breaks so this was really thoughtful of them.

And the gift giving didn’t stop there! I picked up my daughter Tyler Marie from school and I was really surprised to see the floral arrangement she made me. She’s taking a floral design class this year and for her first assignment she learned how to make ribbon roses. She did a great job and she included my favorite candy, Reese’s Peanut Butter cups!

We did something similar to that when I was in High School. With my daughter’s class she will be bringing home 5 more projects so our house will be full of flower arrangements. You’re welcome about the shout out! The Monster & a Book is a fun post. Have a great week Michelle!

I love the black and gold too. And the coloring pages has a wide range to select from either plants, animals, food, etc. I’m going to have fun with this one. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!

  3. What a fun week, I love dress ups and your work appreciation party sounds awesome. Lovely gifts and the ribbon rose bouquet your daughter made is fantastic! Wish Australia was more ‘into’ celebrating Halloween, we’ve never ever had a trick-or-treater come to the door but we’ve had a few parties as my eldest son is a Halloween baby.
Nuts is on my reading pile, hope you’re enjoying it. Have a great week and happy reading 🙂

Here in the US people go crazy with celebrating Halloween. Just in my office I can see some people who really enjoy the holiday by over decorating their desks lol. But it makes this time of year fun. Nuts is good so far. I love the authors sense of humor. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
