Weekly Wrap-Up #72

Posted October 4, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 20 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

We had strange weather here in Sacramento again. It alternated from 90’s to 70’s with sprinkles of rain. This week it is supposed to be in the 80’s and I can’t wait until it really feels like Fall here.

Last week I was mad that I couldn’t go to the RT Convention next year because my vacation wasn’t approved at work (we go live with a new software in April so no one is getting time off). But now I’m happy because we finally decided to go to Disneyland in December!! We all can’t wait for this trip. We have never been to Disneyland for Christmas so I can’t wait to see how the park is decorated. I booked us a hotel that we’ve stayed at before and it is walking distance from the park. They serve free breakfast so it’s a good deal. This trip will be for our 20th wedding anniversary and an early Christmas present for the girls. Now I have to start shopping for Disney themed shirts for us to wear. Maybe I’ll get us matching shirts lol.

Currently Watching

Last Sunday was the premiere of Once Upon A Time (ABC). My daughter and I just thought the premiere was ok.  Merida from Brave and King Arthur are new characters this season so we can’t wait to see what happens.  But so far Emma Swan (actor Jennifer Morrison) is boring as the “Dark One”. Hopefully this storyline gets better.

I was so tired on Monday that I went to bed at 8 pm and missed Blindspot (NBC). I’ll have to catch up before the next episode.

On Thursday I watched Heroes Reborn (NBC). So far this is good and they are revealing pieces of the story. I really like the new characters because of their cool abilities. I’m curious to see what happens with Zachary Levi’s character, Luke Collins. I wish Luke would dump his wife already lol!

This week Arrow and The Vampire Diaries premiere on the CW. I missed the final 3 episodes of last season for Arrow so I have to get caught up this week.

How was your week?

I hope I can go to a RT Convention one of these days but Disneyland will be a lot of fun. Thanks Kim!

  1. Congrats on the trip! How fun. Hope you get some fall weather soon…

I missed the second episode of Blindspot too. I hope they have it on their website…

Arrow is this week? Yikes, I still have to watch all of S3.

I haven’t had time to catch up on Arrow so I might not watch the premiere. This summer went so fast I forgot to catch up lol. Thanks Greg!

  2. YAY! for Disneyland, I have never been to Disneyland but we usually go to Disney World every year. The last two years money was tight so we weren’t able to go but I REALLY want to take the kids next year in October for the Not So Scary Disney Halloween. I think the kids would have fun and it would be nice since not a lot of people.

I haven’t watched OUAT yet I have been worried about this story line but I am hoping it is a good season.

Have a great week Kathy! Happy Reading! ox

One of these days I would love to go to Disney World. I’ve heard Halloween is a lot of fun at the parks. Hopefully OUAT gets better. Thanks Michelle!

Disneyland is a 7 hour drive but it’s been a while since we’ve been there. I can’t wait to see all the Christmas decorations. Thanks Stormi!

I was really mad about missing RT. Since Vegas is close by the airfare would have been really cheap but hopefully another RT will be closer to me so I can afford it. Thanks Kathryn!

  3. Looks like we have the same taste in television. I’m also enjoying the Heroes reboot, but somehow missed that Zachary Levi and his partner are married. I guess I’m not playing as close attention as I thought. Ha! Maybe because Thursday is becoming the worst night of tv scheduling ever! Not only is there Heroes, but The Originals returns this week opposite three of my favs (Sleepy Hollow, Scandal, and The Blacklist). *le sigh*

I’m really liking Blindspot. I’ve been checking out the new shows (cause I need to watch MORE tv, apparently), and so far Blindspot and Quantico are my favorites. What are you looking forward to seeing the most this season?

OMG I didn’t know Sleepy Hollow’s new season started! I’m going to have to catch up before this Thursday. And why did they move the day, it does make it hard to have so many great shows on the same night!! Blindspot is good but I wish it wasn’t so late here (it shows at 10 pm because of the 2-hour episodes of The Voice). As for this season I am really excited for Outlander and Games of Thrones but that isn’t until next year. Thanks Tiffany for stopping by!

  4. We got lucky with the weather here, it was cooler and sunny and we had some beautifull fall days. That sounds exciting to visit Disneyland during christmas! Have fun planning the trip! I hope you’ll have a great week!

You are so lucky to have fall weather! I can’t wait to finally have it here and hopefully some rain to help with the drought. I can’t wait for our trip. Thanks Lola!

I can’t wait to go to Disneyland. Someone told me it rained when they were there but I hope the weather will be nice for us. Thanks to you I’m hooked on audiobooks! Now I have so many that I was on the waiting list so I’m trying to listen to them before the due dates =)

Unfortunately we watch a lot of TV so I get behind on my reading lol. I haven’t watched Blue Bloods but I do love Tom Selleck!!
