Beyond The Books : My Anti-bucket List

Posted October 29, 2015 by Kathy in Discussion / 8 Comments

Beyond the Books is a weekly meme hosted by which gives bloggers topics (mostly non-bookish) to discuss about. This is a fun way of learning more about each other.  Check out her blog for the schedule of topics.

This week’s topic is:

An anti-bucket list: the things you hope to never do before you die

Here is my list:

I’m afraid of heights so I don’t plan on doing any of these, ever!

  • Bunjee jumping
  • Jumping out of an airplane
  • Rock climbing

Running with the bulls – not only is this cruel to the animals but it is dangerous!  The scene from City Slickers comes to mind and makes me laugh!

Swimming with sharks – we have watched shark week so even if I was in a cage I would never want to do this!!

Sailing around the world – I got seasick on our first cruise. I would like to try a cruise again but I don’t think I could handle a trip around the world.

Now it is your turn.  What are things you can’t handle?

  1. I’d be willing to climb a rock wall if there’s a mat to catch me if I fall. And it can’t be too high . . . I guess that kind of defeats the purpose though, doesn’t it? I’m not a fan of heights either. Or falls of any kind. So no bungee jumping for me either.

I’m against bull running too. Those poor animals. I don’t think I’d want to swim with the sharks either. I feel so bad for the sharks who are stuck in the cages. 🙁

    This is a great list.

I’ll stick with nothing high and dangerous on my bucket list lol. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Jumping out of an airplane- same here. Just don’t get the appeal of that. 🙂 Rock climbing might be okay if it’s a reasonable distance- but I’m npt climbing any mountains or anything. All these images of people hanging from their fingertips, no thanks!

There is no way I can hang from my fingertips (I don’t have the upper body strength for that lol). Hiking I would do lol. Thanks Greg!
