Weekly Wrap-Up #70

Posted September 19, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 14 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

This was a typical busy week for us. On my last post I complained about the hot weather but this week it did cool down to the 70’s and we even got some sprinkles of rain. Not enough rain to form puddles of water in the streets but just enough to get our cars dirty! At least we got some relief from the heat but unfortunately it is supposed to be hot again this coming week. I can’t wait for December for when we should stay at a steady cool weather.

As you can see this week I didn’t have a lot of posts. Normally I’ll have all my posts setup during the weekends but September is a busy month for us. We have 4 birthdays this month (my husband, daughter, Mom and brother) so every weekend is busy. But I also had internet problems because there are 4 of us trying to use the internet at the same time. We use the internet for different reasons: I use it for blogging, my daughters use it for school work and their games or watching Youtube or Netflix, and my husband for his online video game Elder Scrolls (on the Xbox One). You should hear all the yelling when we all deal with the slow internet. Of all of us my husband is the one that gets mad at everyone because he gets kicked out of his game lol. So to maintain the peace I stayed off the internet this week. I got some reading done and did some coloring. Another benefit of not being on the internet this week is giving my eyes a rest. At work I’ve been on the computer for 8 or more hours each day so by the time I get home I’m really tired. Reading my hardback copy of The Drafter is a nice change from my Nook, which for the first time has been off an entire week. I do have some blog tour posts for next week so I’m making everyone stay off the internet so I can do my work.

I hope you all have a great week!

FitReaders Update

 FitReaders2015

I did nothing this week! I worked late all this week so because of traffic I would get home close to 7 pm. Once I got home I would eat dinner and then help my daughter with her homework. I’ll have to start exercising in the morning again or else I won’t get any exercise.

How was your week?

  1. I think fighting over the Internet is a not uncommon thing! LOL. I guess I didn’t get to all the food posts this week, but I like to try international foods. Great post on that. Hope your week ahead is a good one!

I got our internet fixed and for now there are now problems. Hopefully it will stay like this lol. My friends have helped me to be more adventurous so now I want to try more international foods. Have a great week too Greg!

  2. I have had a lot of things going on this month and when I looked at my scheduled post I am like…oh no, I don’t have many..I have a feeling next week might be bare but hopefully not. (I have been reading a lot of books for next month and forget to add some in to put on this month…lol)

I try to be ahead of my posts but September has been really busy for us. Hopefully I’ll get caught up lol.

  3. Wow! 4 birthdays this month? Crazy, I feel your pain. My daughters have two weeks between their birthdays. It seems that all of my oldest daughter’s friends were all born in the same couple of months. Including the family birthday get together for my girls and my daughters party with her friends, we’ve have a birthday part to go too every weekend since mid Aug! Getting ready to go to another one today! Oy!

It is crazy! When we decided to start a family I wanted to have a baby close to my husbands birthday. Big mistake lol. Not only is September now busy but they have the same stubborn personality lol.

I finally got our internet fixed so now we are all happy. My husband and his brother is addicted to Ender Scrolls! They are playing everyday lol. And since it is an online game it is interesting hearing all the gamers talk to each other. I would love to play but this is going to be a long game (only a small part of the map is created and updates will be done soon). Have a great week Michelle!

I got our internet fixed but I will have to ask about the router. We definitely need a top of the line router since we have so many devices. Thanks Kim!

  4. The Drafter is on my TBR list. I REALLY need to work on that! I’ll have to check back for your review of The Screaming Staircase, I got my daughter one of those, not sure which, but she hasn’t been interested in it. Maybe I should get her some audiobooks!

The Drafter started out slow but now that I’m at 50% it is getting really interesting and exciting. The Screaming Staircase is a fun read and the narrator is really good. I borrowed this from our library so that is good way to start your daughter on audiobook. I hope she enjoys it. Thanks!
