Weekly Wrap-Up #65

Posted August 16, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 16 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Hi Everyone!! I hope you all had a great week!

This was an exciting week. Monday was my official first day as the Department Manager. I don’t feel anything different yet since my manager is still there until the end of this month. But all the HR paperwork is completed for my new title to be official. Thursday was my kids first day of school. I now have a High School Senior and a 7th grader in the house!! It is hard to believe how fast they have grown.

Besides reading I have been working on a scrapbook for my manager’s retirement gift. It’s a small album with messages from everyone in the department. I used to be obsessed with scrapbooking so I have a lot of supplies. I stopped 5 years ago when I gave up my scrapbooking room so my mother-in-law can move in with us. I did try to scrapbook in the kitchen but I was tired of having to drag all the supplies out and then clean it up so we can use the table. So all my supplies have just been taking up space in my room, but they did came in handy for the kids school projects. So while I’m working on the album I’m going through all my stuff to donate to the school. Then I’ll have more space for my books!

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

Here is what is happening this week on the blog:

I did nothing this week! I was so tired from work so I slept in. But I’m starting up again this weekend.

  1. Congrats on the new job, it’s good that the former manager is still here to help you through in case you need it ! And yes, kids do grow dreadfully too fast 😉 Have fun with scrapbooking and have a great week !

Thanks Iza! Yes, it’s nice my manager is still around since I’m nervous about the new responsibility lol.

  2. Congrats on the promotion!
I have a 2nd grader and a 5th grader they really grow up way to fast. I use to scrapbook also then I use to do digital scrapbooking and that was fun haven’t done it in a long time but I use some of the stuff I have for design now and all my old scrapbooking stuff for kids projects.

I hope you have a fantastic week Kathy! Happy Reading! ox

Thanks Stormi! I love Reawakened! There is a lot of Egyptian history which I have always been interested in, but I can see how some readers might get bored with it.
