Weekly Wrap-Up #62

Posted July 19, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 10 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I got back on Monday night from my Comic Con trip. Our flight was delayed 3 times so it felt good to finally get home. Check out my post to find out how my trip went.

When I got home I started feeling sick (sore throat, coughing and slight fever), so it was good that I had taken this week off work. It took me a couple of days to finally feel better so now I have to catch up on reviews and visiting blogs.

Here is what happened on the blog since my last Weekly Wrap-Up :

Here is what is happening this week on the blog:

  • Proposing to Preston by Katy Regnery (review)
  • Manwhore +1 by Katy Evans (review)
  • Scarlet by Marissa Meyer (mini review)
  • Year of Kresley Cole Promo Post

Coming soon:

  • Endless Knight by Kresley Cole (audiobook review)
  • Hot Blooded by Donna Grant (review)
  • Book Looks

Currently reading or listening to:

  • Aitan’s Revenge by Hilary Thompson

Next to read or listen to:

  • The Coincidence of Coconut Cake by Amy E. Reichert (paperback)
  • Playing with Trouble by Chanel Cleeton (eARC)

I got books!!

I got a ton of books from Comic Con. Since I was flying home at first I tried to limit what I took from the publishers booths. But then I found out my brother was renting a car to drive home so I changed my selection process lol. Here are some of the books I got which I plan to read or use for giveaways.

And I also got some of this years ARCs which I have been dying to get!

FitReaders Update

I didn’t exercise this week because I was sick. But during Comic Con I logged in a lot of steps. My feet and legs were sore the next mornings!

How was your week?

  1. I’m drooling over all of those yummy books! LOL Good thing your brother had a car! I hope you feel better soon. I like to have extra time after getting home from a trip to rest and adjust before returning to work too. The last couple of weekends were crazy busy with family visiting and then it was right back to work. So tiring.

I was so lucky he decided to drive home because it was hard to pass on some of these books. I like taking extra time off after a trip for the unpacking and laundry. Being sick made getting back to a routine hard but at least I didn’t have to worry about work. I hope you had a great time with your family. Thanks Laura for stopping by and have a great week!

  2. Seems like whatever you have is going around my son has something similar. I hope you are feeling better!

I want to go to Comic Con and all those lovely books! I hope you had fun 🙂 I loved all the pictures and your daughter and her friend looks great!

I hope you have an awesome week Kathy! Happy Reading! <3

I’m feeling better but this cough is not going away. I hope your son is feeling better! Comic Con is a lot of fun and I loved all the books I got. I spent most of my time around the publishers booths lol. Thanks Michelle and have a great week!!

  3. Loved your Comic con recap post. How fun it would be to walk around and see all that. I’m too away to go but I’ve been to smaller cons- they are so fun. I’ve gotten sick after cons too- sometimes I think it’s easy to catch stuff out there. worth it though!

Loved the Minions display LOL. That Hall H thing would irriate me too, I probably would never wait in line for all that but I can see where it would be cool. And the panels do look awesome- especially Star Wars.

    nice stack of books!

Thanks Greg!! It is crazy to stay in line but it was a nice break from the exhibit rooms. They get so crowded and hot it can be too much, especially since I had a 5 day ticket.

  4. Sounds like you had fun at Comic Con, although that’s sad they didn’t organize some things a little bit better. I would love to attend a con once, maybe in a year or two. I can imagine you were happy to be home after your flight was delayed 3 times. I hope you’re feeling better soon! And you got a nice haul this week! Have a great week and enjoy your new books!
