Billionaire playboy? Check.
Ruthless businessman? Check.
Absolutely sinful? Check.
Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.
I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle—not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.
Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I've become a hopeless Sinner.
Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me--something unexpected--and I want this wicked playboy's heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?
Manwhore +1 is the second book of Katy Evans’ Manwhore series. The first book ended in a cliffhanger so I couldn’t wait for this book. Wow, this was sexier and more emotional than the first book!!
What did I like about Manwhore +1?
I really liked that the story picks up right where the first book left off. We see Rachel still dealing with the devastating outcome of Victoria’s article on Malcolm. We also see Rachel try to reconnect with Malcolm although he is dealing with the pain of her lies.
I also liked that we get a better insight of who Malcolm is. In the first book I felt it dealt too much on Rachel’s insecurities so I didn’t form a connection with Malcom. But in Manwhore +1 we see a different side than the billionaire playboy. We see his vulnerable, sensitive and playful sides that made me finally swoon for Malcolm Saint! I loved this change in the authors writing!
I also liked the change in Rachel’s best friend Gina. In the first book she was anti-love and anti-men because of her own heartache. But in this book we see her still be wary of falling in love but more supportive to Rachel, just as a true best friend should be.
Of course I loved the sex scenes! They were steamy and tender, symbolic of Rachel and Malcolm’s love story.
What didn’t I like about Manwhore +1?
My only complaint is Rachel! I was so frustrated with her insecurities and the wall she creates to protect herself from getting hurt. After everything that happened in the first book I would have thought she would be more open to taking a chance on life. Her inner struggles about Malcolm and her career were repetitive and made parts of the story drag.
Overall I really liked Manwhore +1, so much more than the first book! Katy Evans is a talented writer. The passion she conveyed between Rachel and Malcolm was explosive but also loving. They truly are soulmates. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
