Weekly Wrap-Up #58

Posted June 14, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 14 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Last weekend was the Bay Area Book Festival in Berkeley and I great time. I was so excited because I finally got to meet Grace from My Book Snack !! My family & friends aren’t passionate readers like I am so it is great to meet another blogger. Check out my post about the event here.

The next 2 weeks at work are going to be busy so I don’t have a lot planned for the blog. I have to get caught up on my reviews but I also have to think of new post ideas. I feel like I’m in a rut and just need to try something new. Has anyone ever felt like this? How do you add variety to your blog?

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

Here is what is happening this week on the blog:

  • Never Let You Go Tour post (review)
  • Pinterest Test – Baked Chicken Parmesan

Reviews coming soon:

  • Poison Princess by Kresley Cole (audiobook)
  • Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost (audiobook)
  • The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa
  • Kiss of a Demon King by Kresley Cole (mini review)

I worked out 4 days last week and I’m still doing some of the Blogilates Youtube videos. I love these videos because they are short so I can do them at any time.

Alexa Loves Books had Mabuhay! A Blogger Roundtable to celebrate the Philippine’s Independence Day. This was a great post collaborating with other bloggers to share what they would like to see more of in literature as a Filipino. I’m Filipino (born and raised in the US) and I would love to see more diversity in books.

How was your week?

It is hard to think of new posts and I also get worried no one will read it lol. Thanks Iza!

  1. I am trying to fill up a little of my blog with Blitzes and Book Tours since I am in a writing rut for discussion posts but I am hoping soon I will come up with something new lol

I haven’t meet any friend bloggers yet, I am hoping next year at BEA I will finally meet a few of my friends 🙂

Have a great week, Kathy! Happy Reading!

I’ve also been doing some blitzes and cover reveals until I figure out what I want to do. I am shy so I get nervous meeting new people. But it was nice to finally meet Grace and I am planning on going to RT next year so hopefully I can meet more bloggers. Thanks Michelle!

That’s great to hear Angie and I agree we all need a break every now and then. I’ll be on vacation soon so I’ll use the time to relax and think of new posts. Thanks Angie!

  2. The book festival looks great, I would have enjoyed seeing Lauren Oliver speak. How fun!

I know what you mean about post ideas- I like discussion posts too but don’t do very many, for whatever reason. I am going to spotlight book covers starting next week, as that seems like it will be fun. So I definitely know what you mean.

Thanks Greg and Lauren Oliver was a lot of fun. She shared a lot about her experiences as a writer so it was interesting to hear. Thanks for stopping by!
