Weekly Wrap-Up #57

Posted June 7, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 14 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

This has been another stressful week, not only from work but from my daughter! We are going to Comic Con San Diego next month and we are trying to get her cosplay together. I told her last year to plan out what she needed but of course this never works out. She kept changing her mind of who she wanted to dress up as so she finally decided last month and we’ve been trying to put it together. We ordered a top online and of course the color was wrong. I don’t know how to sew so we’ve been looking for someone to make the top for her. Luckily my mother-in-law was able to make it and it turned out really cute. So at least that part is taken care of. Now we need some more items and she will be ready. Since this is probably our last time going I would have loved to dress up but I couldn’t come up with an idea.  So instead I’m getting some shirts with comic characters on it (at least I’ll be comfortable lol).

Saturday and Sunday I’ll be going to the Bay Area Book Festival in Berkeley. I’ll report on this event next week.

Since I won’t be home on Sunday I’ll be visiting blogs during the week. I hope you all have a great week!!

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

I’m behind on my reviews and Book Looks posts so I don’t have a lot scheduled for next week. Here is what is happening this week on the blog:

I am loving both of these so far!

I did nothing this week! I was sick last weekend so it took me until Wednesday to feel back to normal again. But I should be getting a lot of steps in on Saturday and Sunday at the book festival.

  1. I think it’s cool you guys are going together. Cosplay is so big now. Have fun! They have some cool shirts with comic characters now, I see some sometimes and I’m like “I want that”. LOL.

The Book Festival sounds fun, looking forward to your post on that.

I complain about the stress of the costume but I do love spending time with my daughter. The past Comic Cons it has been my daughter and some other family, so it is nice getting spend time with just her. There are so many great shirts now! It used to be really hard to find them. Thanks Greg!

I would love to wear a costume but these events are so packed with people I would probably get hot lol. I just want to be comfortable lol. Thanks Kim!

Comic Con is a lot of fun and people are so creative with their costumes. I wish I learned to sew but I wouldn’t know who to dress up as. Thanks Michelle!

There are so many books I need to read but I need to take the time to write up my reviews before starting a new one. It can be so hard sometimes since I really want to read the next book. Now I have 3 reviews to finish up on this week. Thanks for stopping by Elizabeth!

Thanks Stormi! If you ever get a comic con close to where you live you should attend. They are a lot of fun (just to see all the costumes lol).
