Here is my monthly update for the challenges I am participating this year.

2015 Reading Assignment

The 2015 Reading Assignment Challenge is hosted by Berls of Fantasy is More Fun and Michelle of Because Reading is More Fun. With this challenge you set a goal of how many books you read each month and which books you will read for the year.

My goal is Reading Level 4 – 36 books (3 books/month)

I made my goal for May! I read 3 books (1 was a DNF).

Here is what I read from my list:

  1. Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren
  2. Bad Romeo by Leisa Rayven
  3. Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay
  4. Tangled by Emma Chase
  5. The One by Kiera Cass
  6. Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
  7. Barefoot by the Sea by Roxanne St. Claire
  8. Fire Rising by Donna Grant
  9. Burning Desire by Donna Grant
  10. Dark Triumph by Robin Lafevers
  11. Forged by Greed by A.O. Peart (DNF)
  12. Pawn by Aimee Carter

Laura of Trips Down Imagination Road and Michelle of Because Reading is Better than Real Life are hosting the 2015 Bookish Resolutions Challenge.  What makes this different from other challenges is that you can mix your blog goals with personal goals.

Resolution #1 – Have 2 discussion posts per month

I failed again on this resolution! I didn’t have any discussion posts this month and I need to plan ahead for the month.

Resolution #2 – Increase my Netgalley ratio by 20%

My approval ratio went up 4% points and I didn’t request any new ARCs. So far for this goal I have increased my ratio 10%, so 10% to go!!

Resolution #3 – Finish a series

For this resolution I am reading His Fair Assassin series by Robin LaFevers . I have already read book 1 & 2, so I need to buy or borrow the final book.

Resolution #4 – Visit & comment 4 blogs per week

I’ve been doing good with this. If a post catches my eye from my Bloglovin email I visit the blog right away, rather than trying to remember to go on another day.

Resolution #5 – lose 10 pounds and lower my blood pressure

So far I’ve lost 3 pounds! It’s a really slow progress but my clothes are feeling loose.

2015 New-Release-Challenge-450x450

The 2015 New Release Challenge is hosted by Lexie at Unconventional Book Views and Stormi at Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My!

My goal is New Release Pro (16 to 30 books)

Here is what I read so far:

  1. Frosted by Katy Regnery
  2. Burned by Karen Marie Moning
  3. Kiss Me Kate by Katy Regnery
  4. Stian’s Mistake by Hillary Thompson
  5. The Master by Kresley Cole
  6. The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma
  7. A Desperate Fortune by Susanna Kearsley
  8. Feeding the Fire by Andrea Laurence
  9. Manwhore by Katy Evans
  10. Bidding on Brooks by Katy Regnery
  11. Who I am with You by Melody Anne
  12. Overruled by Emma Chase
  13. Flirting with Scandal by Chanel Cleeton
  14. Searching for Beautiful by Jennifer Probst
  15. The Cage by Megan Shepherd

I’ve read 15 new releases so just one more book to earn the New Release Pro title! My goal is 30 books for this year so I’m halfway there!

Clean Sweep ARC 2015

The Clean Sweep ARC Challenge is done and thank you to our host Kim @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ! I didn’t make a goal for the number of ARCs to read but I did read the 3 ARCs I had committed to:

This challenge included ARCs and finished copies we received from authors or publishers, so here is what I read for May:

I did pretty good this month considering work is still hectic. I read 4 ARCs from Netgalley so my review ratio went up and I’m happy with that!

How are you doing on your challenges?
