Weekly Wrap-Up #56

Posted May 31, 2015 by Kathy in Life Challenge, Wrap-Up / 12 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Friday was my daughter’s last day of school so she is officially a Senior in high school now. She has to take her Senior portraits this summer for the yearbook. I’ll probably cry when I see her pose with her cap and gown! It’s hard to believe how fast she has grown up.

Saturday I got hit with a stomach virus and I’ve been in bed all day. I didn’t feel good to read but I did watch some movies. I finally watched 27 Dresses and it was a cute movie! I’m feeling ok but I’m having my husband and kids do the grocery shopping for me. I’m giving them a list but I can just imagine what junk food they will bring home lol. I don’t have the energy so this one time they can get away with unhealthy snacks lol.

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

Here is what is happening this week on the blog:

  • Challenge Update
  • Pawn by Aimee Carter (book review)
  • Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost (audio book review)

I got mail!

My June XOXpert package arrived this week and it had a nice variety of books. I’ve decided to read The Canterbury Sisters by Kim Wright. I’ve had my eye on this book and it will be a nice change from the romance books I’ve been reading (also it can count towards the COYER Scavenger Hunt).

FitReaders Update

I am so behind on posting my updates but I have been exercising. I still go to the gym during the week with my co-workers and do some Blogilates Youtube videos at home. So far I’ve lost 3 lbs and inches off my waist.

Currently watching:

All of my favorite shows are on break now but last night was the season finale for Outlander. Since I’ve read the book I knew what was going to happen but it was still hard to watch. But it was important to get an understanding of Claire and Jamie’s relationship and the events that happen in the next books. I can’t wait for the next season!

Thanks Greg! Yes, they came home with a lot of stuff I would not have bought lol

  2. I sent my husband to the store to get something for dinner. He came home with the steak, Ice Cream and Twinkies. Guess which two were not on the list.

Congrats to your daughter! I would cry too 🙂 what a great chapter of her life she is about to explore. It will be a fun and sad ride 🙂

Stomach Virus can be nasty, glad you are feeling better!

Have a great week, Kathy! Happy Reading.

That is a healthy meal lol. We are now fully stocked on brownie mix and Pop Tarts lol. I’ll have to make a trip to the store this week!

Time goes so fast and it will be fun but sad to see her graduate! Thanks Michelle!

  3. My niece will be a Senior next year also. She has become quite the young lady. I see you got The Canterbury Sisters. I reviewed it a few weeks ago and really liked it, but the cover is deceiving.
    Have a good week.

I’m feeling a little bit better. I do buy some snacks when I go shopping but you should have seen what they came home with. Boxes of brownie mix and Pop Tarts! They were on sale so they took advantage of the deals (at least they know how to get more for our money lol). Thanks Iza and I hope you have a great week!
