Weekly Wrap-Up #52

Posted May 3, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 16 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

It feels like summer here instead of spring! I live near Sacramento, California and it’s been in the 80’s here. We really needed the rain so hopefully we’ll get some this month. My youngest daughter will be having her 6th grade promotion (similar to a graduation) at the end of June and she already wants to plan her outfit. This is the first time she’s ever cared about shopping for clothes. So this is definitely a sign my little girl is growing up. We’ll be going shopping soon to find the perfect outfit.

Kimba’s May Clean Sweep ARC Challenge has officially started!! April was a bad month for me because of work, so this month I have a lot of catching up to do. I only committed to 3 titles while the rest of the ARCs I read this month will be selected by my mood (it makes it less stressful for me lol). This is my first time hosting a challenge giveaway to check out my post (the puzzle is really easy to solve lol).

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

  1. It sounds so thrilling for your daughter. She’s becoming that young lady you fear. LOL Soon boys will come calling:)
I almost signed up the Clean Sweep ARC Challenge but have too many other ones to keep track of. Probably should have to get to my Netgalley ones. And I’d probably fail. LOL Way too many books waiting for me do to right now.

It is good and bad that’s shows becoming a lady. It’s good because she wouldn’t bother with combing her hair when she went to school lol. It’s bad because of boys and how picky she will be in her clothes, but that’s all part of being a teenage girl lol.

I know what you mean about keeping track of all the challenges but this year I selected challenges that have rules/requirements that are similar so I’ll be reading books that qualify for 3 challenges this month!

Thanks Laura for stopping by and have a great week!

I love her tips. I’ve been trying to keep my sidebar clean so this was a great reminder lol.

Thanks for stopping by Elizabeth and have a great week!

It is hard to watch! Up until now the only shopping she wanted to do was for video games lol. But at least I already have the experience with dealing with my oldest daughter lol.

Thanks Michelle for stopping by and have a great week!

  2. Glad you’re getting nice weather- we’re in the 70’s now, finally, and it feels good. The nice weather has been a little late arriving here. I know what you mean about the kids- our youngest shot up too overnight. Happens quick. 🙂

It does happen too quick! It’s good to hear you are getting warmer weather! Everyone had a longer winter than us, and we are now suffering with a drought.

Thanks for stopping by Greg and have a great week!

Thanks Grace! I really like the audiobook and now I want to listen to more books!

  3. Congrats to your daughter. My April was a slow month for reading too, wishing us both success on May. Have a great week.

Thanks Kathryn! I’m still trying to catch up on the ARCs and I have been good at staying away from Netgalley lol.

The graduations are cute and she is really excited to find the perfect outfit. Thanks Kim!
