Weekly Wrap-Up #49

Posted April 12, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 8 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I missed last Sunday’s post because it was Easter.  I spent the day with our families and it was extra special because my cousin from the Philippines was visiting.  We keep in touch on Facebook but it is always nice to have mini family reunions.  For those of you that celebrate Easter I hope you all had a fun weekend!

There is nothing exciting to report from last week.  Work sucks as usual (and it’s not going to change). Work has interfered with my reading time.  I’m behind on my Netgalley ARCs and I already know I’ll have a hard time meeting my Reading Assignment Challenge but I will do my best.

Here is what happened the last 2 weeks on the blog:

This week on the blog:

  • Year of Kresley Cole – A Hunger Like No Other (mini review)
  • ARC Book Review – Desperate Fortune by Susanna Kearsley
  • Book Looks or Bookish Mood Board
  • Pinterest Test
  • Fitreaders Check-in
  • Discussion Post – CAW Book Blogger Hop

Don’t miss out on these giveaways:

Entertainment News

Outlander (Starz) is back and the episode was AMAZING!! Sam & Caitriona are perfect as Jamie & Claire. I love this video of them reading the Tweets from fans!  They are so cute together!

Game of Thrones Season 5 starts tonight (in US)!!  I cannot wait for this!!

How was your week?

I’ve been trying to stay away from Netgalley but it is really hard! Thanks Laura for stopping by and have a great week!

  1. I am so excited about Game of Thrones and plan to watch on HBO go since I don’t want the kids to watch it.

I am always behind on Arcs but I am really trying to get to the books I already have, just need to tell authors to stop writing for a while so I can catch up 😉

Have a great week, Kathy! Happy Reading! ox

I can’t wait for tonight and by the time we watch it our youngest daughter is in bed. The teenager is usually playing her video game so we don’t have to worry about her lol.

I’ve been trying to read what I have now too. It’s hard to resist all the new ones coming out this year. Thanks Michelle and have a great week!

Spending time with family is a great reason to get behind on my reading. It’s a nice break (and the food is always good lol). Thanks Kim!

  2. It must have been so wonderful to see your cousin again 🙂 I started recording GoT and will watch the episodes once the season’s finished, but I’m afraid I won’t have the patience to wait until Outlander is over to start watching them ! As to Netgalley and challenges, well, I guess we’re all falling behind here, lol, so don’t worry 😉

Thanks Iza! I’m going to go easy with the challenges & Netgalley for now so I don’t get burned out. GoT had an interesting first episode so I can’t wait to see what happens. I wouldn’t be able to wait for Outlander either and I hope you love it!
