Weekly Wrap-Up 36

Posted January 4, 2015 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 8 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you all had a nice New Year’s Eve.  We went out to dinner and stayed home for the night.  We got Disney Infinity 2.0 for the Xbox One so I picked up a new Baymax figurine for the night.  The plan was to play video games but I ended up falling asleep on the couch while I was waiting for my turn! It was only 8:30 pm!  I was so tired from work that I couldn’t stay awake.

NYE 2014c

Yesterday I finally uploaded the Tweak Me v2 theme and it didn’t take as long as I thought it would.  I spent about an hour getting the blog to look like my previous design. Now I just need to make some changes.  One of the changes I noticed is that the feature image is doubled on some of my posts, so I will need to fix that.  So please excuse the odd look of some of my recent posts.

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

This week I will be introducing a new feature called The Pinterest Challenge.  I have gone crazy on Pinterest by creating 69 boards and 8,690 pins that I have done nothing with.  Some of my boards are for my blog posts, movies, and celebrities that are really for fun.  But the other boards are for recipes, crafts, and tips that my daughters and I are going to put a test to.  This idea came about recently when my oldest daughter, Tyler, started printing out recipes she wanted to try.  She is 16 so it was really fun cooking with her.  So I decided to do a Pinterest Challenge as a way to have some fun with my daughters, to teach them to cook and to try out some new things.  This is also going to be a fun way to include them on my blog.  I hope you will check out our posts =)

This week on the blog:

  • The Pinterest Challenge – Turkey Burgers Recipe
  • Book Looks
  • Fitreaders Check-in

Yes, it is addictive! And it’s good to hear I wasn’t the only one that sleep through NYE. I didn’t hear the fireworks in my neighborhood too. Have a great week Laura!

  1. Have fun with the tweak me theme if you need help give a holler. Glad you enjoyed your holidays. I stayed up till 4:30 ish last night reading just one more chapter of Vision in Silver but it was worth it. I hope the week ahead is a good one, and work doesn’t wear you out!

Thanks for the offer! It is taking me a while to get everything right – I can’t make up my mind on the fonts lol. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week too!

  2. I’m right with you on Pinterest! I had made it one of my resolutions to actually use my pins (though I’m actually fairly good about recipes) and today I was thinking about maybe trying a new one a week. We’ll see how it works out though! I love the idea of trying it with your daughter. Sounds like lots of fun. I look forward to seeing what you come up with! Have a great week!

  3. Happy New Year! WE got tired too and almost fell asleep at 10:30- the kids kept us up. 🙂 I liked your favorites post- Divergent would be on my list too, and several of those I need to see. Like those figurines too, those are cool.
