My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a nice New Year’s Eve. We went out to dinner and stayed home for the night. We got Disney Infinity 2.0 for the Xbox One so I picked up a new Baymax figurine for the night. The plan was to play video games but I ended up falling asleep on the couch while I was waiting for my turn! It was only 8:30 pm! I was so tired from work that I couldn’t stay awake.
Yesterday I finally uploaded the Tweak Me v2 theme and it didn’t take as long as I thought it would. I spent about an hour getting the blog to look like my previous design. Now I just need to make some changes. One of the changes I noticed is that the feature image is doubled on some of my posts, so I will need to fix that. So please excuse the odd look of some of my recent posts.
Here is what happened last week on the blog:
- ARC Book Review – Frosted
- Bookish Resolutions for 2015
- A Year In Review – Author Events & Conventions of 2014
- A Year In Review – My Favorite TV, Movies & Music of 2014
- A Year in Review – Family Moments of 2014
This week I will be introducing a new feature called The Pinterest Challenge. I have gone crazy on Pinterest by creating 69 boards and 8,690 pins that I have done nothing with. Some of my boards are for my blog posts, movies, and celebrities that are really for fun. But the other boards are for recipes, crafts, and tips that my daughters and I are going to put a test to. This idea came about recently when my oldest daughter, Tyler, started printing out recipes she wanted to try. She is 16 so it was really fun cooking with her. So I decided to do a Pinterest Challenge as a way to have some fun with my daughters, to teach them to cook and to try out some new things. This is also going to be a fun way to include them on my blog. I hope you will check out our posts =)
This week on the blog:
- The Pinterest Challenge – Turkey Burgers Recipe
- Book Looks
- Fitreaders Check-in
I’m still reading Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay. I like it so far and I just wish I had more time to read.
So far I’ve only finished 1 book of my 30 book goal. Now that the holidays are over I will have more time to read.
