Pinterest Test – Sugar Rush Birthday Party Theme

Posted January 29, 2015 by Kathy in Pinterest Test / 2 Comments

Pinterest Test is a feature in which my daughters and I try out one of the thousands of pins I have collected on Pinterest.  This feature will include recipes, beauty tips, crafts, etc. (you name it – I most likely pinned it!).  Feel free to follow me on my personal or blog account.

This Week’s Pin is:

Sugar Rush (Wreck It Ralph) Birthday Party Theme

Sugar Rush 1

Technically this isn’t a Pinterest Test but I wanted to share some of the great things you can find on Pinterest.  Some of my family and friends have never used Pinterest so I try to encourage them to visit the site.  I like to think of Pinterest as one huge search engine that you can easily organize all the things you love.  Gone are the days of printing out recipes or jotting down websites.  With the easy to use phone app I’ll be in the grocery store scrolling through my pins for a last minute recipe.

For my daughter’s birthday she wanted a Sugar Rush (Wreck It Ralph) theme.  So I found everything for the party on Pinterest and the party was a huge success.  My daughter and her friends loved the decorations we had and the fun activity.  And we ended the party with a viewing of the movie Wreck It Ralph.

Here is everything I used for the party:

The invitations were ordered on the Etsy store, DazzelPrintz. Once I received my order I went to Walmart and had them printed out.

The idea for the party decorations came from Hostess with the Mostess which she had a link to Wants & Wishes Designs that sold the theme inspired by Wreck It Ralph.  I ordered the Sugar Rush theme and had it printed at Kinkos.  I spent about $60 for the printing (because of the poster) and it was worth every penny.  Everything turned out so cute!

The girls had a great time building their own race cart.  I had a lot of candy and I was worried the girls would eat too much.  But they were so excited about the activity they didn’t overindulge (I’m so glad because I didn’t want to have to deal with sick kids and angry parents).

Sugar Rush 2

So if you have never used Pinterest I hope you try it.  There are so many great ideas on this site for you to try.

Have you used any pins for a party?

The girls had a lot of fun. They were really creative and tried to out do each other. I almost ran out of candy.
