Weekly Wrap-Up 35

Posted December 28, 2014 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 8 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Merry Christmas!  I hope you all had a nice Christmas.  I had a nice holiday but it went so fast.  All the stress of buying gifts and cooking was worth it but I wish it could have lasted longer.  For my side of the family we celebrated my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary so it was a double celebration.  The food was yummy and of course I over ate. I did have to work on Friday so we didn’t stay as long as we could have, but it was nice seeing all my family.

Christmas 2014

What did you all get for Christmas??  I got ebooks and a 2015 calendar from my COYER Secret Santa and I also got Ashley’s Tweak Me 2 and UBB Reading Challenge plug-in.  I set up the Reading Challenge plug-in (you can see it on the right side of the blog) and I’m waiting until January to do the Tweak Me 2 (I need a day when I can spend the whole day on the blog).

COYER Santa 2014

Last week I participated in the Top 10 of 2014 blog hop.  It was a lot of fun visiting other blogs and I can’t wait to do it again next year.  But I hope they plan next years on a different week.  Because of Christmas it was harder to visit all the blogs, but I plan to continue to visit them during this week.

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

Since I had a lot of fun creating my Top 10 posts I got to thinking about all the other great things about 2014.

Here is what I will be posting this week:

  • A Year in Review – 2014 Family Moments
  • A Year in Review – 2014 Favorite TV, Movie & Music
  • A Year in Review – 2014 Author Events & Conventions
  • ARC Book Review – Frosted by Katy Regnery
  • 2015 Bookish Resolutions Challenge (Goals Post)

Currently reading:

I’m still reading Stolen Fury by Elisabeth Naughton (this doesn’t count for any challenge).  The COYER challenge officially started on December 20 but I won’t be starting the challenge until January 1.  That way the books I read will qualify for COYER and the 2015 Reading Assignment Challenge.

On January 1 I’ll begin:

PRINCESS OF THORNSGame of Thrones meets the Grimm’s fairy tales in this twisted, fast-paced romantic fantasy-adventure about Sleeping Beauty’s daughter, a warrior princess who must fight to reclaim her throne.

Though she looks like a mere mortal, Princess Aurora is a fairy blessed with enhanced strength, bravery, and mercy yet cursed to destroy the free will of any male who kisses her. Disguised as a boy, she enlists the help of the handsome but also cursed Prince Niklaas to fight legions of evil and free her brother from the ogre queen who stole Aurora’s throne ten years ago.

Will Aurora triumph over evil and reach her brother before it’s too late? Can Aurora and Niklaas break the curses that will otherwise forever keep them from finding their one true love?

That’s a good idea about #6! It makes sense since one of the days is with a nail polish. I hope you join in on the photo challenge. Have a Happy New Year!!

My sister ordered the cake from a friend. It turned out really pretty and I wish I knew how to decorate cakes like that. Thanks Steph for stopping by and have a Happy New Year!

  1. Kathy, I totally need the UBB Reading Challenge plugin! That would make my life so much easier, and it would also help me keep on track with the challenges I’ve signed up for 🙂
I’m glad you had a nice Christmas, even if your stay with your family was a little short. Congratulations to your parents! 50 Years of marriage is no small feat.
I wish you all the best for 2015 🙂
