Weekly Wrap-Up 34

Posted December 20, 2014 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 17 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Four more days until Christmas and I am almost ready! I have 3 more presents to get and then do the wrapping.  My youngest daughter gave us our Christmas present early.  It’s a cute snowman magnet but it was the card that got me emotional – she wrote in the card it was her last Christmas present made in elementary school.  Why did she have to remind us that our “baby” was going to junior high school next year?!  I’m trying not to thinking about it.

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

This week on the blog:

  • Book Looks Holiday Edition
  • Book Blog Walkers Check-in
  • Top 10 of 2014 Week

COYER officially started Saturday but I plan on starting the challenge in January. With Christmas this week I won’t have enough free time to read.  Also because I want my reading to qualify for the #2015HW Challenge (kill 2 birds, aka challenges, with one stone).

I have been reading Stolen Fury by Elisabeth Naughton.  This is the first book in her Stolen Series which I read a couple years ago.  I am reading the next books in the series for the #2015HW so reading this again is bringing back memories of the story.  The main character, Lisa Maxwell, is an archaeologist so the story has action and romance, which I really love.  This book is definitely getting me out of my reading slump from Dark Metropolis!

I hope you all have a safe and Merry Christmas!

It’s nice to re-read a favorite plus without the pressure of doing a review. Thanks and Happy Holidays!

  1. I had a daughter start jr high this year, so I can relate. It is a change. 🙂

I can’t believe Christmas is almost here either- everyone’s been saying how fast the month is going by, but it really is. Seems like we just had Thanksgiving, and by the time all our stuff was up the month was almost half over. Anyway hope you have a great holiday.
