Weekly Wrap-Up 32

Posted December 6, 2014 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 14 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Another week flew by so fast.  Work is still crazy and it has been raining here.  Wednesday was the strongest storm we’ve had all year.  My drive home normally takes me 30 minutes but that day it took me 2 hours!  There was so much traffic because the streets and freeways were flooded.  Cars were getting stranded because the drivers risked going in the high waters.  Since my husband is a mechanic I knew to stay away from the flooded areas – once water gets into the air filter the engine locks up and dies.  I drive a SUV but I still drove around the flooded areas, I didn’t want to risk getting stuck.  But on Thursday there was no rain so the city cleared out all the fallen leaves around storm drains, which had caused most of the flooding.

This week I am on vacation but I am a chaperon for my daughter’s school trip.  We leave on Monday for a camping trip and we’ll be back on Friday.  They gave me the schedule for the week and our days start at 6:30 am and ends at 10:30 pm (which is lights out in our cabins).  During the day we will be hiking but there are some activities I don’t have to be with the students.  I will be helping prepare the meals and cleaning up.  But I do get a 20 minute break every day!! I am bringing a book (I don’t want to bring my Nook since I don’t know if I’ll be able to recharge it) and a notebook so I can write up some posts.  I will be in charge of 8 girls, so wish me luck lol.

There is that and also having to deal with the cost of repairs! But people were crazy and now they are regretting it. Thanks Trish and have a great week!

I took a week off but I told my boss I might need extra days to recover lol. I hope all the activities make them really tired so we can all go to bed early! Have a great week Katherine!

Our state is going through a drought so we were not prepared for this. But California drivers are always crazy – rain or shine lol. I have a feeling I won’t be reading too. I hope the girls don’t stay up too late because I know I will probably fall asleep before them lol. Thanks Laura!!

  1. Good Luck Camping I am not sure I can do that since Camping and I are not friends at all. We haven’t even tried to be friends. lol Have fun I do hope you will have time to read, 20 minutes with 8 girls doesn’t seem like enough time alone 🙂

It rained all day yesterday here but it’s beautiful today it gave me a chance to clean up around the house.

Thank for the shout out 🙂

Have a great week Kathy!!! Happy Readings

I’m only used to camping in a RV (and my parents brought a TV lol). So I hope I survive this week lol.

I can’t wait for COYER and the Reading Challenge (which I’m still making my list lol).

      Thanks for stopping by Michelle!

The flood lasted only for a day but people were still crazy drivers. I hope you are all safe with the typhoon.
