Weekly Wrap-Up 28

Posted November 9, 2014 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 12 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

This last week was stressful again at work.  We are being asked to do overtime this month.  If we commit to 40 hours of overtime this month we get a really nice bonus check, which is perfect for Christmas!  Here is hoping I can do all these extra hours!

Saturday was the pre-sale for next summers Comic Con San Diego.  This was the sale for those that attended last summers convention. Since I was at work my family waited online to get the badges. It took 4 people and the use of 7 devices (laptops or ipads) but we were able to get our badges!!  My sister and I got preview night and all 4 days so we can’t wait!  This time we are only planning to camp out for Outlander (which they should be there) and I want to try to get the autograph passes. I can’t wait for July!!

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

This week on the blog:

  • Heart of Marley Blog Tour – promo post
  • Midnight’s Surrender review
  • A Fool’s Gold Christmas review
  • A December Bride review
  • Book Blog Walkers Check-in

Currently reading:

Ho Ho Readathon 2014

Kimba’s Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon started on Thursday and I have already read 2 ARCs – Midnight’s Surrender and A Fool’s Gold Christmas.  The reviews will come this week.

Midnights SurrenderA Fool's Gold Christmas

I’ve started reading A December Bride.

A December Bride

Netgalley November

So far for the Netgalley November challenge I have read 3 ARCs.  2 of the ARCs also met the Ho-Ho-Ho Read-A-thon so it worked out great to have both reading challenges in the same month!

How was your week?

Hi Katherine! I’m always trying to read more from my Netgalley list so hopefully this challenge can push me more. Have a great week =)

Thanks Tracy! There is New York Comic Con but I don’t know how far that is from you. But it’s a lot of fun so I can’t wait. Yes, I’ll be posting pictures since that is the most excitement I see all year lol. Have a great week =)

It is hard to get the badges. I think one year there was 8 of us trying. It’s so stressful but it is a lot of fun. Thanks for stopping by Greg!

  2. We didn’t even try to get tickets to Comic Con this year… well I should say for next year. I wonder if Outlander will end up in Hall H??? It’s probably going to be bigger next year since it had a good season this year. I don’t know if I will ever go back… it’s just so busy and I don’t get to see anything I want. 40 hours of overtime??? WOW. I would have a hard time with that. Good luck!

I hope they are in Hall H since the show has gotten so big. But this time we want to go to different panels. I’m going to try not to camp out as much this time lol. Thanks Angie!
