Weekly Wrap-Up 27

Posted November 2, 2014 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 12 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Last week was a lot of fun because of Halloween.  We had a Halloween party at work and we were allowed to wear costumes. It was a nice break from our busy schedule. It did rain Halloween night so we weren’t able to go out trick-or-treating, but we had fun staying home.  I hope everyone had a fun Halloween!!

Kimba’s Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon starts Thursday and I do have 3 ARCs I hope to read.  My parents are visiting this week so I hope I’ll be able to have some reading time.

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

This week on the blog:

  • Heart of Marley release day blitz
  • Seduced by Stratton review
  • Book Looks
  • My Salvation Blog Tour – promo post
  • The Last Changeling Blog Tour – review
  • Book Blog Walkers Check-in

Currently reading:

The Last ChangelingA Kingdom at War . . .

Elora, the young princess of the Dark Faeries, plans to overthrow her tyrannical mother, the Dark Queen, and bring equality to faeriekind. All she has to do is convince her mother’s loathed enemy, the Bright Queen, to join her cause. But the Bright Queen demands an offering first: a human boy who is a “young leader of men.”

A Dark Princess In Disguise . . .

To steal a mortal, Elora must become a mortal—at least, by all appearances. And infiltrating a high school is surprisingly easy. When Elora meets Taylor, the seventeen-year-old who’s plotting to overthrow a ruthless bully, she thinks she’s found her offering . . . until she starts to fall in love.

Instagram Photo Challenge

This was the final week for the October #BSMPhotoaday challenge created by Book Soulmates and co-hosted by Bookcrastinators. Here are my photos for day 26 to 31:

BSMOct2014 26 to 31

Day 26 – A spooky read

Day 27 – Halloween or Fall decor: my spider witch pumpkin for my works pumpkin decorating contest.  I won, even though only 2 of us participated but it is still a win!!

Day 28 – Halloween candy

Day 29 – Freebie Fall picture:  Fall for us is our annual trip to Apple Hill for all the goodies!

Day 30 – #TBT Halloween: my girls Halloween 2003

Day 31 – Create your own bookish Halloween photo:  our dog Koko dressed up as a unicorn with a Princess riding on her back. There has to be a fantasy story somewhere about this, right?

Currently watching:

We are still watching Once Upon A Time (ABC), Gotham (Fox), Sleepy Hollow (Fox) & The Vampire Diaries (CW), The Flash (CW) and Arrow (CW).  These are all really great especially Once Upon A Time and The Vampire Diaries!! The last episodes were cliffhangers so I can’t wait to see what happens this week!

How was your week?

This was my first book to read of hers and I want to read more! My dog hates wearing the costumes but I can’t help but spoil her lol. Have a great week Laura!

  1. Your Halloween party sounds fun, nice that you can do that at work. We went out trick or treating but it was cold and windy, in the 30’s. Yikes! We were freezing… 🙂 Have a great weekend and enjoy the shows…

It was a nice break at work and now we have to do overtime lol. But with all back-to-back holidays there will be a lot of pot lucks to help relieve the stress lol. You were brave to go out on Halloween and I hope you had fun! Thanks Greg!!

I don’t like scary books or movies so Heather Graham is the scariest I can read lol. I want to read more from her! My dog isn’t happy when I dress her up but I can’t help it!! I found the perfect dress for Christmas lol. Thanks Katherine for stopping by!
