Weekly Wrap Up 23

Posted October 5, 2014 by Kathy in Wrap-Up / 18 Comments

My Weekly Wrap Up is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I have nothing exciting to report from last week.  I had the usual work and family, but drama free! It’s finally October but it is still over 90 degrees here!! I can’t wait for it to cool down!

Here is what happened last week on the blog:

This week on the blog:

  • Twisted by Elisabeth Naughton (review)
  • Halloween theme post
  • Book Looks
  • Book Blog Walkers Check-in

Don’t miss out on these giveaways:

Currently reading:

I’m still reading The Young Elites by Marie Lu. This is my first time reading from this author and I’m loving the story so far. My copy is a paperback which I’m so used to reading on my Nook. I keep pressing the edge of the book to go to the next page and my hands are cramping from holding the book. It’s crazy lol.

Instagram Photo Challenge

I finally created a new Instagram account just for the blog and I came across the #BSMPhotoaday challenge created by Book Soulmates and co-hosted by Bookcrastinators. This challenge has some fun themes for each day and it’s a fun way to interact with other bloggers & book fans.

Here is the schedule for October if you want to participate:

Here are my photos for day 1 to 4:

Currently watching:

Once Upon A Time (ABC) – the season premiere was last Sunday and we meet the characters of Frozen. I think this series is ok but I’ll watch it with my daughter.  But I think we won’t be upset if we miss episode.

Gotham (Fox) – so far this show is still really good. We got to meet the teenage Cat Woman so I’m curious to see her backstory. The actor for the Penguin is great – he’s got the creepiness down good!  I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Sleepy Hollow (Fox) – last weeks episode was pretty good! It was zombie vs the headless horseman! This episode had a lot of action!!

The Vampire Diaries (CW) – the show premiered on Thursday and we are finally getting to see what’s happened in Mystic Falls. So many changes since last season’s finale and we see how each character is dealing with the loss of Bonnie and Damon. I can’t wait to see how they bring them back to life.

The Flash (CW) – this is a new series on CW that premieres on Tuesday. This show is a spinoff from Arrow (which I love) so hopefully it is just as good.

Arrow (CW) – the season premiere is Wednesday!! Based on the clips I’ve seen there are new faces in Starling City.  I’m not familiar with the comic series so I’m curious to see who these people are.

How was your week?

I’m hoping The Flash is as good as Arrow. I was really surprised with how much we liked Arrow, so hopefully the same writers are working on The Flash. There are so many new shows it’s hard to keep track lol. Thanks for stopping by Greg and have a great week!!

It gets really warm here! I feel bad for the kids when it’s Halloween night. With their costumes on it can get them really hot! Hopefully it will cool soon. Thanks for stopping by and have a nice week!

  1. This weekend was a cool down with winds and around 70. Toady is calmer and warming up nicely. Probably be back in the 80s by tomorrow. I’m not one for cold weather.
I’m waiting on The Walking Dead and enjoying new episodes of The Big Bang Theory. Also looking for some new fall shows so I’ll be watching different ones to see what appeals to me.

I would be happy if it was in the 80’s here! I would be able to walk outside instead of staying inside for the air conditioner lol. I’m behind on The Walking Dead so hopefully I will get caught up before the premiere. Thanks for stopping by!

I was given a copy when I went to Comic Con but I haven’t read it yet. I love the cover and the title lol. You are so lucky to have Fall weather but hopefully we will cool down this month. Thanks Kimba for stopping by and have a great week!

  2. I haven’t seen any of the shows you watched….I’m following oldies like The Good Wife and Grey’s Anatomy…and Castle; and new shows like How To Get Away With Murder. Thanks for visiting my blog, and enjoy your week.

How to Get Away with murder looks really good! We watch a lot of TV (or at the TV is on while I’m blogging lol). Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

  3. I wasn’t blown away by the season premiere of Once Upon a Time, I think I was expecting something more. I am hoping todays episode is better than last week!

I have yet to watch Gotham, I can’t wait to start it, everyone is saying how awesome it is. I missed Sleepy Hollow last year and netflix doesn’t have it so I can’t watch this season 🙁

I bailed on Vampire Diaries Last year I just didn’t care anymore which is sad because I loved that show 🙁

Have a great week and Happy Reading!!!

I wasn’t excited about the premiere of Once Upon a Time either. So we’ll see if this season gets better. I should have stopped watching Vampire Diaries but I only watch for Damon lol. Thanks for stopping by Michelle & have a great week!!

Yes, it was drama free (considering I have a 16 and 11 year-old girls lol). Thanks for stopping by!

  4. No drama sounds like a pretty good week! I have really been enjoying Sleepy Hollow as well. So far this season has been really good. I want to watch Once Upon a Time but haven’t started it yet. I love instagram but need to get better about using my account. I always forget to take pictures or to actually put them on instagram. Have a great week!

I rarely use Instagram too so this challenge seems like fun. Thanks Katherine and have a great week!
