Three novels that prove love can always be found right at home
There’s nothing quite like the comfort and serenity of returning home again, especially when combined with the sizzle and excitement of finding true love. This limited-edition contemporary romance boxed set from Entangled’s Bliss line features three fun and flirty small-town stories sure to make you laugh, sigh, and smile long after you’ve turned the last page.
Taste the Heat by Rachel Harris: Colby Robicheaux knows her brother’s best friend—delectable fire captain Jason Landry—is off-limits, and anyway, she’s only back home for a short time. Jason’s looking for someone to help him raise his preteen daughter, not a fling, but Colby’s all grown up and tempting as ever.
Playing at Love by Ophelia London: When Tess Johansson’s music program gets pitted against Jack Marshall’s football program in a battle for funding, she knows only one of them can win. Jack might be the summer love she never forgot, but her job means everything to her. Competing against the enemy was never quite this much fun.
Lucky Break by Kelley Vitollo: Sydney Williams might have come home to her small town of Shamrock Falls, but it’ll take more than that to rekindle a broken friendship with her childhood best friend, Kade Mitchell. When friendship turns to sparks turns to more, will Kade be able to convince his best friend to gamble on forever?
Hometown Love is a great set from 3 talented authors. The set is made up of the first book in each of the author’s series, so this is a great way of discovering and falling in love with new characters! Each story was about discovering a place to call home and a second chance of love.
Taste the Heat (Love and Games #1) by Rachel Harris – 5 Stars
Who has ever had a crush on your brother’s best friend? With Taste the Heat you can live out that fantasy! Colby returns home to help her families restaurant but her plan gets complicated when she runs into her childhood crush (and her brother’s best friend) Jason Landry. From the beginning of the story you feel the sizzling chemistry between Colby and Jason. This is a great romance story that was funny and heartwarming. Rachel Harris is a great writer that blends steamy romance plus the feel of family unity. With all the hardships that Colby and Jason have had to overcome they had the loving support of their family and friends. So Taste of Heat isn’t just a story about two people. It is the beginning of a great series with characters I can’t wait to get to know more of.
Playing at Love (Perfect Kisses #1) by Ophelia London – 5 Stars
Have you ever wondered what happened to your first love? In Playing at Love fate brings back teenage sweethearts Tess and Jack. But it isn’t a happy reunion. Due to their high schools budget their jobs are at stake and a competition begins. Tess is a music teacher and Jack is a football coach, so the competition between the two programs reminded me of Glee. Even with that comparison I still enjoyed this story. This is their second chance at love but their students were always a priority. I really liked this aspect of the story that showcased their dedication as teachers. This made the story realistic.
This is my first book from this author and it won’t be my last. This was well written and flowed perfectly. I look forward to reading more from Ophelia London.
Lucky Break (Shamrock Falls #1) by Kelley Vitollo 4.5 Stars
Do you regret the choices you made in your past? In Lucky Break Sidney Williams returns home for a break from her busy life in LA. Once home she runs into Kade Mitchell, her former best friend and the boy she regretted leaving behind. This was a really nice story. Sidney is given a chance at mending the broken friendships she had. At the same time Sidney is discovering a new relationship with Kade. But Sidney has a lot of insecurities that I felt wasn’t clear from the beginning. There were little hints about her mom but I didn’t understand the full backstory of their relationship until the end. I think it would have been better to have more of an explanation in the beginning of the story. This would have helped me form a better connection with Sidney. But overall I did like this story and the supporting cast. I can’t wait to read more books in this series.
This is a great bundle. All three stories have a nice blend of sexy, sweet romance and humor. These are characters you will love and authors you will want to read more from. I highly recommend this book to all romance fans!
