During this last week I felt lazy again.  The weather hasn’t been a problem for me to go outside and since my youngest daughter has been on vacation we have no homework.  So I finally realized what my problem was – I DON’T LIKE RUNNING!  I started training for a Diva Run in June and I am able to run 2 to 2.5 miles.  But then I stop running.  I don’t have that “runners high” that everyone talks about. I’ve built up my stamina for the distance and I’m not experiencing any pain (knock on wood).  But once I reach my goal for that day (either for minutes or miles), I just stop.  I don’t feel like pushing myself to do more.  I thought it might be the boredom from the same running path, so I tried a new path.  But still there was no change in my attitude.  I even started running with a friend but that didn’t help either.  So I am just not enjoying running, which I think was the cause for my laziness.

So I’ve decided to change up my exercise routine.  I’ll continue to run so I can complete the Diva Run with my sisters, but I want to mix my exercise up.

So here is what I did last week:

Sunday 3/23 – ran for 2.5 miles

Monday 3/24 – walked 30 minutes on my lunch break, 1 hour on my stationary bike

Tuesday 3/25 – walked 30 minutes on my lunch break

Wednesday 3/26 – walked 30 minutes at the mall, 30 minute Zumba DVD

Thursday 3/27 – ran for 2.5 miles

For next week I’m looking for a Zumba class and also starting a 30 day arms and abs challenge that I found on Pinterest.
