On Saturday I attended the Authors On the Bay event in San Francisco.  This was my first multi-author signing event so I was really excited!  This event featured the following romance authors:

A.L. Jackson                Alice Clayton                Amy Bartol       Anne Eliot

Christina Lauren          Claire Contreras           E.L. Montes      Emma Chase

Gail McHugh                Georgia Cates              Jodi Ellen Malpas

Karina Halle                 K.A. Tucker                  Killian McRae   R.K. Lilley

Rachael Wade              Rachel Van Dyken        Raine Miller      S.C. Stephens

Susan Griscom            Tara Sivec

Authors On The Bay was hosted by author Rachael Wade, who donated 100% of her book sales at the event to The Looking Out Foundation, an arts-based foundation dedicated to serving a wide variety of causes in need.

I had a really great time! It was so exciting to meet so many authors. Since I read on my Nook I made a scrapbook of all the book covers for the authors to sign. This was a great idea I saw on the Facebook page for the event. But I did buy some paperbacks to sign for future giveaways!

I had my fangirl moment with author Rachel Van Dyken!  I discovered this author’s historical romance series a couple of years ago and I have been a huge fan ever since.  For her scrapbook page I included the historical and contemporary romance series covers, and it was great to see her reaction!

Authors On The Bay was a fun event! It was great meeting the authors and other bloggers (especially Shannon from Sexyways of Reading, who I rode in with and was a lot of fun!). But the only thing I was disappointed in was the length of the event.  We were allowed only 1 1/5 hours and I wasn’t able to meet all the authors.  I did get all my paperbooks signed but it would have been great to meet the other authors.  I hope for the next event they will allow a longer time to spend with everyone.
