Feature & Follow #1

Posted August 17, 2013 by Kathy in Feature Follow / 27 Comments

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO bloggers, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read.  Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!  The goal is increase blog followers and make friends.

This weeks question:

Share something you’ve learned about book blogging or just blogging in general in the last month.

I’m a new blogger, so I still have so much to learn!  But I was really struggling with balancing my time with my family and my blog.  But I finally learned that I can schedule my posts to appear on my blog.  This may be crazy but in the beginning I was writing my post drafts and then going on my computer the next day to publish it.  DUH, I finally figured out to schedule the post to publish on whatever day and time I wanted it!  Crazy right?!! I guess I was too excited to start blogging to read the instructions for Blogger!!

So what have you learned this last month?  Leave a comment with your blog site!  Thanks for stopping by!!

  1. I wish when I started blogging I was aware of the schedule option, you’re ahead of things already! It’s a lot of fun blogging about books, you get a lot of opportunities, and interact with many cool people who have the same interests 🙂

Once you get going you’ll find easier ways to work blogging into your life 😛 That’s something most people struggle with at first.

New Bloglovin’ Follower! I look forward to reading your posts, we have a lot of the same favorite reads!!

  2. Thanks for following, Kathy! As you saw from my post, I just finally figured out scheduling too. It seems so obvious once you know about it, right? 🙂 Oh, and I replied to your comment on my blog, but just in case you don’t see it – go to Twitterfeed.com to register your blog and have your posts automatically tweeted!

    Happy blogging!

  3. Scheduling posts is a BIG help! I’m currently working on scheduling 2-3 weeks in advance posts! I know it sounds crazy at first, but it makes sense. That way I don’t have to rush to review a book so I can have a review posted that week (or whatever).
Good luck blogging and Thanks for visiting my FF! I followed you back! 😀

  4. I have a hard time balancing blogging and family even with being able to schedule posts ahead of time, so I completely understand where you’re coming from. Thanks for following me and stopping by My FF @ Donnie Darko Girl. Following you by Twitter, Bloglovin’ and GFC! 😀

  5. I am so grateful for the scheduling feature. I don’t always remember to use it, but it’s wonderful for guest posts and cover reveals. I have most of the next week scheduled already outside of a review for a book I’m currently reading.

Thanks for stopping by and following my blog, following you back now!

  6. You’re right scheduling the posts is key. I have a lot of drafts that need to be filled in, but I also have a bunch of finished posts that are scheduled to be published. Good luck with the blog and thanks for visiting my FF. New bloglovin follower.
