Overview from Barnes & Noble:

One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.
Tris’s initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.
My Review:

I loved this book!  This is the 2nd book of the Divergent series and with some sequels I’ve been disappointed that the story continues in a slow pace, making me want to stop reading. But not with Insurgent! The story picks up right where we last left Tris and it’s not stop action!! We learn more about the different factions and the other characters from the first book, so there is more to this book than the romance of Tris and Four. The conspiracies and shockers kept me glued to this book and suspicious of everyone!! But what I really love about this series is Tris! She’s a 16-year-old who is kicking ass!! She has that “drive” to discover who she is and what’s the truth, while the other’s around her prefer to get things “back to normal”.  But is it really normal? What’s with the fence?  In the end we are left with a cliffhanger that made me scream for more! But we have to wait until Allegiant is released in October to see what happens!

So if you loved The Hunger Games series, then you will love Insurgent!

As a bonus check out my Comic Con pictures from the Divergent panel!!
